Of the two choices, I would go with Boston.

But my favorite recording would be the Grateful Dead at the Boston Music Hall (June 9, 1976) released as Road Trips Volume 4 Number 5.

Boston. that one of my fav Debuts ever. sure they never came CLOSE to matching it. but they could have done just that album and they'd STILL be remembered fondly.

I like to think if the label hadn’t rushed production on Don’t Look Back, Sholz would have brought it up to the level of the debut. One or two more songs and more finesse in the guitar tones and overall sound of the record is all I think it really needs.

Wow I might not be able to vote on this, I may upset treeduck fans who are Aerosmith freaks AND treeduck devotees who are Boston followers.

Kinda thought this would be closer. Where are all the Aerosmith fans?

Aerosmith is one of my 3 desert island bands, along with the Doors and the Scorpions.

By desert island I mean that I would like to see them stranded on it. And then the military uses it as a weapons testing site.

Nuclear weapons.

Boston - for it's technical merits, and it's sort of prog leanings.

PS: The Red Sox suck every year.

Stiff competition. That Boston debut doesn't have a note out of place.

They’re here and they voted for Boston.

Aerosmith was so good that decade but this is Boston’s debut we’re talking about! :hail:

I voted for Aerosmith. Never been a fan of Boston. What I have heard from them is good but I never had the urge to hear any full albums by them. That being said, their debut is a huge album and overall more popular than Rocks. I can see how they're winning the poll.

I know, but it always seemed to me much of TRF was made of sizable Aerosmith fans, and many of them would quickly place Rocks as one of their best records, if not their best. So to see those fans put Boston's debut first is really a huge compliment to that record.

Rocks wins. But Smokin' is probably my favorite song from either record (great keyboard section is heavily influenced by Deep Purple or Jon Lord).

Peace of Mind is 'Bon Jovi' of the 70's though.

ROCKS. No question.

I've never owned a Boston album. More than a Feeling ? :moon:

I see my Marianne walkin' away :rfl:
