IbanezJem
Rush played so many different styles over the decades, but Alex's solos were always very appropriate and tasteful. I wondered what you think is your favourite burst of six-string majesty - not from instrumentals but in the context of a beautiful addition to a song. As someone who tries to play guitar, I have always been seduced by technical, fast guitar work and for me (today!) I think Alex's solo in The Analog Kid is one of his best. :Alex:

lifeson90
far too many to consider but i'll throw in that lovely little abstract thing he does in Time & Motion, typical imaginative Alex, nothing like him Edit: just giving Turn The Page a listen and he does the same kind of abstract solo in that too, in fact the whole track is a rock guitar masterpiece of using the keyboards, weaving in and around them like an abstract painter, just beautiful stuff. Helped that Ged's keyboards so exquisite too of course. This band were just out there in another universe Another Edit: Entre Nous just came on, like wtf... where did THAT come from. Just beautiful, these guys were kids at the time Edited March 25, 2019 by lifeson90

goose
Alex's main solo in the Main Monkey Business is one of my all time favorites. His tone and phrasing are incredible on that one.

That's a given, but believe it or not, one of my favorite guitar parts on Xanadu is played by Geddy. It's the rhythm guitar at the end.
Mr. JD
Either the solo at the end of Mission or the end of The Garden. Both of them fit the songs more then perfectly.
