OldRUSHfan
I'm looking for a specific Painting, similar to Alan Aldridges style on Elton John's "Captain Fantastic and The Brown Dirt Cowboy". It shows many characters in various 'situations' some in human form some not. I've seen it in pictures of sectional Art displays, but can't find it in that category on google...even looked for Alan Aldridge LIKE art. no success...PLEASE it's driving me NUTS! It's on my old laptop, but I've forgotten my password on that...
blueschica
Do you have any other details about what was in the painting? Would it have been by any fantasy artists, like Frank Frazetta, Todd Lockwood (Dungeons and Dragons) , Brothers Hildebrandt (Star Wars), Patrick Woodroffe? Let me know if any of those are close. Is it dogs playing poker? :laughing guy: :laughing guy: :laughing guy: I shouldn't laugh- https://www.artsy.net/article/artsy-editorial-painting-dogs-playing-poker-endured-100-years
blueschica
Alan Aldridge is kind of a surrealistic style. Maybe your painting is in one of these links? https://learnodo-new...alist-paintings https://www.widewall...list-paintings/ Joan Miro or Salvador Dali? Both do those type of paintings- Miro's Harlequin's Carnival is below . . . Edited February 27, 2019 by blueschica

Tinwoodsman
Hieronymus Bosch? Dutch fellow who painted many random collage style art pieces. Google him and you will see other artists who painted in a similar vein. Edited February 28, 2019 by Tinwoodsman

Hopefully that's the right one for Orf!
vaportrailer
"Okay, I'll paint a bird, but I'll put a kettle on his head and show it eating a man...who will be pooping birds! Genius!" http://blog.art.com/artwiki/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/hieronymus-bosch-garden-of-earthly-delights-artwork.jpg(The Garden of Earthly Delights)
vaportrailer
Similar to Bosch, but with less birds coming out of bums etc, is Bruegel the Elder. Now that would make a kick-ass Doodle Art! :P
toymaker
I thought Bosch, too. The dude climbing the ladder with the knife sticking out of his ass always disturbed me.

It's only an arrow. Having grown up in Nova Scotia, I was always afraid that the bagpipe would start playing. :P

You've seen it? Whoa!Apparently it's not as large as people expect. It is indeed amazing! Is the outside panel ("the Sphere") visible somehow? The stuff that's going on in the other two panels is just as messed-up, but with less rectal damage. toymaker
I guess in my memory I got the arrow mixed up with the giant knife with ears that is squashing all those people.
