Kansas- Leftoverture

The band's fourth album follows three great ones, only this time even more greatly.

should've had a no rush rule. hard to see them not winning

For greatest prog album? srsly?

yes because if there's one thing about this board, its that it goes for the obvious musical choices.

:sarcastic:

it's a rush forum, dipshit.

Glady you and Entre got my hint. I was waiting for someone to question whether Alabama was a prog band. :eyeroll:

EP, give the list a week to finish before starting the poll. Don't forget that with Christmas and new years that people might not be coming to the site as often.

Fair point!

The title track just sounds like a DJ mashup of bits and pieces of much better songs by other bands. There is nothing special about it at all beyond their fantastic playing.

But with DT, playing amazingly well is nothing out of the ordinary. I would take one song off Scenes over the entirety of Octavariums title track.

And I know others who would disagree with you on that. It's a very well composed piece, and the climax at the end is easily one of the highlights of their discography. At least in my opinion. But hey, who cares what makes it on the nomination list? If you don't agree with it, don't vote for it.
