It's pizza ingredients in different layers than NY style. Some people like it, some don't. Like everything else. Don't be a bigot about it. It's FOOD, damnit!

I'll give him that, but then the other end of the spectrum I would ask, "What's with the photograph of the cheese and sauce on a cracker"?

Thick or thin, it’s rare that pizza isn’t good to me. It’s when they start adding absurd toppings that I start to turn my nose up.

What’s “absurd” toppings?

Tuna.

Mayo.

Seaweed.

Corn.

Boiled or fried egg.

The smell of tuna mayo seaweed corn egg pizza might as well be bunghole on pizza. Nasty!

By being pissed off more than half the time I eat western food

I also make my own pizza and know a few legit places that serve good zza.

Truly, I find that Japan makes great J-food (obviously) and excellent Korean and Chinese. After that, it’s a gamble.

Chicago style pizza is the best food ever conceived of, made, and eaten, and the best there ever will be.

If there weren't already a million reasons for NY to secede, the fact that they call cheese and crackers pizza would be sufficient.

Is it time for another Chicago vs NY Pizza thread?

No.

How about a Rush vs Carly Rae Jepsen thread instead?

No.

Why ‘no’?

Because debating the musical merits of Rush v Jepsen is a closer call. For example, there is no parallel blot on Jepsen's career to the synth era.

So you think Chicago pizza votes will murder NY pizza votes?

Murder, something Chicago is good at.

Isn’t this it?

Where do you stand on pineapple as a topping?

Oh, I meant a two option poll. Chicago OR New York. No wussy options such as “I can’t decide”, “both”, “other”, or “neither”.

Pineapples belong on ice cream or by itself. However, i don’t think they’re gross on pizza or anything too negative like that. I’ll eat it if it’s served to me but I’ve never personally ordered it and I never will.

I’d like to murder a few slices of Chicago pizza now as a matter of fact.

Not sure, but it doesn't matter, just like selling more singles of Call Me Maybe than of La Villa Strangiato doesn't make the former song better.

This is about pizza. Both places have execrable political situations, I don't think that's the place you want to go to make a case for NY. At least Chicagoans have access to better pizza to make it more tolerable.

I will give you that New York pizza is more likely to save your life by stopping a bullet. Not because it's better at the task, but it's much more likely to be sacrificed for the purpose. And you can always remove the cracker shrapnel after the fact.

New Haven pizza is the best pizza in the world. Don't even argue.

OK, I won't bother, but one Google search for New Haven pizza images is more than enough to make an ironclad case against your assertion.

Duh, I guess you folks don't know about Chicago thin style pizza. Round, thin crust, easy on the sauce, and the cuts are made at right angles, making pieces that are square in the middle and rounded triangles along the edge.

I've been eating thin style for 30 years, since my introduction to Villa Rose, a hole in the wall Italian restaurant in Hollywood, FL that is alleged to be the oldest pizzeria in Broward County. Great pizza, pasta, garlic rolls, and subs.

If you really want to know about all things pizza-styles, recepies, ingredient and equipment sources, the lot-skip Google and go directly to the source:
