I have been in a lot of fights but have not been in one for about 20 years (Almost got in a few over the last 20 years.). Getting older now just makes me feel like fighting would just consume way too

What does the cheap t-shirt thing mean? Bear in mind that I know what the two things mean on their own but is that some kind of middle class pansy put down by the Canuck Snowflake?

When I was an Admin at Progarchives I had to warn some guy about posting links to pornographic material. He threatened to jump on a plane and kill me, my family and anyone that knew me. I banned him obviously. Next thing I get a PM purporting to be from his mum threatening legal action against me. These people forget that their IP addresses are visible to Admins/Mods. I asked him why his mum would be contacting me from his University library and by the way should I speak to the Dean about his horrific threats to me and my family. Needless to say he buckled like a daisy holding up an elephant.... :LOL:

I myself thought this thread was going a little too far. I am not looking to fight with you. It does not bother me to be called names but some people really take that stuff to heart. All I was doing was trying to maybe give some perspective on why canadianice said what he said in the first place (And why this thread was created in the first place.) It's not like it's the first time anyone ever said that they wanted to beat someone up on a messageboard He might have just been stirring the pot, his reply was too vague to know if he was really serious. However, it makes me wonder with all the people who have threatened to beat other people on messageboards if anyone actually ever hopped on a plane just to go beat someone up? :LOL:

When I was an Admin at Progarchives I had to warn some guy about posting links to pornographic material. He threatened to jump on a plane and kill me, my family and anyone that knew me. I banned him obviously. Next thing I get a PM purporting to be from his mum threatening legal action against me. These people forget that their IP addresses are visible to Admins/Mods. I asked him why his mum would be contacting me from his University library and by the way should I speak to the Dean about his horrific threats to me and my family. Needless to say he buckled like a daisy holding up an elephant.... :LOL:

That fight was the Lennox Lewis-Riddick Bowe of the day, we'll just never know who would have won...

Lewis obviously. Bowe was a poor man’s Larry Holmes.

Lewis made me laugh. He was Canadian and then moved to England and had a full on British accent within living in London for a year.

He sounded Jamaican to me.

I never said it was a good British accent. :LOL:

This is the Lewis history: He was born in London to Jamaican parents and moved to Canada when he was 12 and when he turned pro at 22 he reverted back to being British. So he was only "Canadian" for 10 years.

Ever been in a fist fight?

I have been in a lot of fights but have not been in one for about 20 years (Almost got in a few over the last 20 years.). Getting older now just makes me feel like fighting would just consume way too much energy. :eh:

I hear you. The last time I came relatively close to a fist fight was a few years ago. I just said to the guy, “I just don’t give a shit (about the petty thing the dude was getting huffy about)” and walked away. He probably wasn’t expecting that. And actually he was likely happy that he didn’t have to fight yet managed to keep his pathetic manhood intact.

 

Defending yourself when your back is (sometimes literally) against the wall is the only time fighting should be done.
