The 2018-2019 NFL Season

Since Elway has taken over as GM, with the exception of taking the obvious in Von Miller with pick #2, his drafts have ranged from poor to dismal ..

This 2018 Broncos draft is looking to be one of the the best drafts they've ever had .. It is at least my favorite overall since I began following the draft

Bradley Chubb and Courtland Sutton are day one beasts, and Josey Jewell was my favorite player in this draft ... and then we get Troy Fumagalli in the 5th round ...

Daesean Hamilton is arguably the best route runner in this draft and Rolls Royce Freeman is going to be huge right off the bat

I love this draft - and I've never been able to say that before about the Broncos, esp under Elway

Yep. The Broncos came out nicely. Landing Chubb alone made your draft grade respectable. The rest is icing on the cake.

Packers get the best-named WR of the Draft.

Equanimeous Tristan Imhotep John St. Brown - WR, Notre Dame

I'm still scratching my head over Cleveland not taking Chubb at four. Or why the didn't trade back a couple of spots to get more picks if they weren't interested in him. They didn't have to take the corner at four!!

Cleveland being Cleveland. The more that things change...

Took some balls to take Baker at #1 though.

I would have taken him #1 too.

Three former Packer execs now lead the Browns' Front Office.

General Manager – John Dorsey

Assistant General Manager – Eliot Wolf

Vice President, Player Personnel – Alonzo Highsmith

They're well-trained in making the sensible pick and placing a high value on character. They must believe that Mayfield's past immature actions will not be a problem. Of course, they could end up being wrong about him.

How many "immature actions" were there? I recall 2 or maybe 3 over his college tenure which isn't that many. His were highlighted because of the team he plays for and how much TV coverage they get. Had the QB for Eastern Montana did similar things, we'd have probably never heard of it.

A couple classless actions on the field and an arrest for drunk & disorderly and resisting arrest (Feb. 2017). Not major offenses by any means.

Didn’t he hit his girlfriend, triggering one of them, though?

How are they going to fit that on his jersey?

Luckily for the Packers, the young man's last name is just St. Brown. :D

Bears vs. Ravens tonight. Hall of Fame game.

I just might be sick enough to watch...

I haven’t committed to watching NFL football this season. Another season gone by without a fantasy roster as well.

If fantasy football was a human being it would have to have been spawned by some weak sperm or something, like the dad was jacking off and the mother sat on it at the last second... :smoke:

Love fantasy football. It has enriched my life greatly. I'd expand on that, but why waste my energy on the "it sucks" and "weak sperm" crowd.

The problem is you start to root for players from teams you hate. Imagine if I had to root for players from the Cowgirls, Failclowns, Forty Swiners etc, I'd have to stop watching altogether...

It's also for people who can't enjoy a great game without some sort of misplaced personal pride on the line.

Yay, I picked a guy who got the ball at the 1 yd line when my opponent's player accounted for the bulk of the yardage on the drive. I'm so smart!

No. Although I certainly have some gamble in me...I only enjoy games with skill involved. I meant enriched on a personal level. Not monetary.

I don't really hate any players on other teams enough to have it bother me. Awkwardness happens in real life just the same with player movement . Do you think I could just easily root for Brett Favre when he became a Viking after all those years as a "hated" Packer? It was f'd up, man.

The bottom line is I root for my real team to win over anything else.

I'll tell you what was F'ed up - way too many so-called "Packer fans" who jumped ship and bought #4 Viking jerseys. Some even left the Green & Gold for real and bought season tickets for the Vikings. Good riddance, I say. You're supposed to support the TEAM - not just one player.....regardless of who that player is.

Players come and go; that is Life in the NFL. The team is what matters most.

Everything NFL related in my closet is 49ers gear but I also own a Jerry Rice Raiders jersey for when black formal attire is appropriate.

We can be sure that some Packer fans have bought Jordy Nelson's Raiders jersey. That man was beloved here in Wisconsin.

Better be careful, you'll get confused for Axl Rose from the Live and Let Die video.
