A UK Comedian..circa mid 70's?

I dont remember his name.

 

But he had a show, similar to Benny Hill's except he would sit and do monologues and jokes whiles chain smoking cigarettes and drinking scotch I think. with sketches thrown in, often poking fun of the Pope and the Catholic Church, but not always...

 

He was a thin man with dark hair...that's all I remember, I was young.

One of the greats - I was lucky to see him doing his show at the Allbery Theatre in London in 1987. He died in March this year.

God I used to love him!!! Remember the episode where he was showing the viewers all his little cues and the cameramen were all running around like crazy trying to keep up with the cues?
