Did you like Roanoke? I find that season is the one I most enjoy rewatching. Alongside the first four seasons, it's in my top five. I said the other day it's my favourite but the more I think about it, the more I think it's probably Asylum.

Nope. Didn't like it at all. But the last two seasons of the show have been trash. So, Roanoke isn't coming off as bad as it used to but it's still near the bottom for me.

I didn't like the first half the first time I watched the show, but enjoyed the second half. The second and subsequent times I have watched it, I've enjoyed it more and find it very creative and zany.

Buuuuut I totally get disliking it. I really didn't like Double Feature or Hotel. I didn't mind 1984, but it felt tired.

There is so much in the world of horror the show could explore, such as giallo horror or torture porn, perhaps even go the cliche route and have fun with classic horror monsters etc. But I feel its commitment to every growing campiness is its undoing. The last season, with attacks on gay people and whatnot, tried so hard to be topical and relevant, but tonally felt the entire time like it didn't take itself seriously and it fell flat and bored the shit out of me.

Patti Lupone randomly singing in a gay sauna type thing? Self indulgent crap, and it presented the gay community in the most offensively stereotypical ways possible, I gave up.

Like you said with Roanoke, Hotel (which I once truly hated) is coming off much better now. I've never even able to finish that season.

The first four seasons are the benchmark. I think all subsequent seasons are dependent on what you like. I loved Cult but I can see also why someone could dislike that. And Apocalypse wasted all its potential on being, again, redundantly self indulgent.

I forget sometimes how much I used to love this show. I didn't bother with American Horror Stories.

30 Rock

Still my absolute favourite TV comedy. I'm binging seasons 5 and 6 atm, as I rarely marathon start to finish. Its a joy, because I am less familiar with these seasons so its the closest I have felt in years to watching this with a fresh perspective. It's just so, so funny, and politically incorrect often in a way that still seems super relevant for now.

My other favourite show is Mad Men, totally dissimilar in tone, but also largely workplace based. I think it's fair to say I have a type 🤔

I've seen and rented the first 3 seasons of 30 Rock through a local library years ago but haven't caught up yet.

It can get a little clumsy when on the progressive soap box but over all pretty damn good. Their military advisor needs to be fired.

Full Swing and Break Point, two Netflix docuseries based around PGA golf and pro tennis, respectively.   They are in the same vein as the successful Formula 1 racing series, and I found both very good.   The physical and psychological grind of individual sports is especially compelling.

Watched 2 episodes of the Netflix documentary about the Branch Davidians and the terrorists from the ATF and FBI. Also watching a program entitled "Back Off, Haters" but I'm not sure why. It's one of those shows that's so awful it's interesting kind of. It has it's funny moments but they're few and far between.

I'll be watching this soon, I think.  It's quite a story, with many ways to reflect on what went down.

There's no doubt Koresh was a psychopath or at least narcissist but I've never understood what threat he was to anyone outside of that compound. He had illegal weapons and some of them were pretty powerful but if left alone I didn't get that he had planned to go looking for trouble. Trouble came to him and he did what he thought he had to and what he'd prophesied. Maybe he was Jesus.

That would be a great South Park episode

Videos on a FB page titled Jay Prehistoric Pets. Jay runs a reptile zoo out of Fountain Vallley CA, but his true love appears to be breeding and raising various color combinations of gigantic snakes, mostly reticulated pythons. His best vids are when he is moving and handling a female away from her clutch of eggs so he can retrieve and further incubate them.  Sometimes the female is calm and lets him remove the eggs, but if she's in a feisty mood she will make numerous credible attempts to bite Jay.  Understand while most of the snakes are non-venomous,  their teeth will tear you up!

I saw him at the Pantages in October 2015.  Larry Miller opened for him.  Strangely enough, I saw Larry on a taping of a short lived TV show with David Alan Grier and Delta Burke.  I remember it being a comeback for Delta because her first big screen movie was about to come out, What Women Want.  It was a filed trip in my 2nd year of college for some broadcast course in Studio City.

My favorite episode is The Jimmy.

Well, I just finished my rewatch of 30 Rock.

So as a change of pace, I restarted it.

I've been binging The Walling Dead

If any show ever truly suffered from airing one episode a week, it was this one. At least in my opinion. I tried to follow it for two seasons while it originally aired, and found it painfully dull. This surprised me, as I am a big fan of the comics.

Anyway, in the UK the entire show is on Disney+. I decided to give it a try. Well my goodness! This show is perfect for a binge!! I can't get enough of it! I'm on season 4 and it's just the most fascinating show.

It could become as special to me as Mad Men.
