STYX - Don't forget now kids

Recommended Posts

i give it an 8/10 myself.

JY's Track is weak. and it's a little bit heavy on shorter Musical segue pieces. but other than that. i love it to death.

Mick

Segue pieces? I though he didn't like it that much!

Just walked back from the show!

All I have to say is that I was shocked tonight!

Don Felder opened up and blew everyone away.

He played all the old Eagles hits and did the track off of "Heavy Metal." The greatest animated film ever! JMO!

Tommy Shaw came out and played guitar and banjo on "Take It Easy" with Don. Epic,

Then Todd came out and played tambourine and the REO guitar player came out to play on Hotel California!

Felder of course brought out his white double neck for that song!

STYX was amazing too. I wanted more of "The Mission" but the set was great as always.

As for REO, I have no comment. Well.... ok....

THEY SUCK!

Don Felder blew them out of the water.

You must have been at the same show I was at the Greek. REO was sad. Kevin Cronin's voice is shot.

I agree with you all - this album is definitely a keeper. Really dig the majority of it. JY's song sounds lazy. But the rest is pretty stellar.

His could have used another verse.

Again I disagree with both of you. The song is excellent. it's perfect for the record. A typical JY classic song. It fits perfectly in the concept album.

Lazy?

FUCKK REALLY?

I just think it's ok

Am I dead inside?

Outside too.

I had my suspicions...

It's nothing fatal, but every record has a low point and, as is, this is The Mission's. Again, I think it might have been improved with another verse and more perspective from what Shaw describes as the skeptical character.

Haha! Fair! Not fatal at all. I see your point. Alas I love the song.

Playing this again and again.

The Greater Good & The Outpost are giving me the goosebumps. Even Trouble At The Big Shit is saved by

Pie in the sky

"It's a drag"

But I'm not afraid to die

The best musical surprise since Flying Colors debut.

If they get to Europe, I'm hopping on a plane.

It's such a thrill, classic Styx, maybe a hint of Starcastle. Glorious.

"The Mission" is currently my "Album Of The Year."

I listened to some of the new Steven Wilson and I almost fell asleep.

Not even close to the new stellar, sweet, sticky STYX record!

I can't believe Pat HATES this band!!

That's life!

I absolutely hate SAM HALEN! Life goes on......
