Entre_Perpetuo
My updated Styx mp3 CD for the car (which gets up to 700 MB) has all of the new album except for Trouble at the Big Show. I have everything from Cornerstone except for Eddie and First Time. It's not a great album, but it's solid. Boat on a River and Love in the Midnight are great songs.I really like Cornerstone. It sort of stands alone as a styx album, but for me, in a good way. Yea it stands alone in a corner, shunned by Grand Illusion and Equinox. :laughing yellow guy:+1 for Equinox mention. Underrated gem. Equinox to Pieces of Eight is my fav run of Styx records. That was when i feel Styx found their footing. Add Shaw on Crystal Ball and they couldn't loose. Mick Crystal Ball is arguably my favorite Styx album. Replace Shooz with something a little less hokey and it would be inarguably my favorite.
bluefox4000
I feel like pre shaw styx was good. But Tommy i feel was that piece they were Missing. he gave them a shot in the ass man. i think he.....in the World of rock guitarists is VERY overlooked. Mick I was about to mention the incredible solo on Renegade, but actually that was JY, who is also very overlooked, lol. that was JY, lol. i only know that from watching concerts, lol Tommy and JY together are pretty great. they work off each other well. Entre_Perpetuo
Shooz is a fine number; Crystal Ball is every bit as great as Pieces Of Eight, Paradise Theater, and The Mission. Really only Grand Illusion stands a chance against it.
RUSHHEAD666
It's surreal to me that Pat hates this band. I love them but I get how annoying Gowan can be and the fact that their set list is getting old. Alas I am taking my parents to see STYX and NIGHT RANGER on July 27th. Problem is, OZZY changed his tour date to July 27th. I asked Pat what to do and he told me to take my parents to OZZY But my parents love to gamble.Hence STYX and Night Ranger are at an Indian Casino. UGH! "Don't Tell Me You Love Me" Forum. It's ok... Because I already know you do. :)
