Eagles or Grateful Dead?

  1. 1. Eagles or Grateful Dead?

The Dead. They are interesting, diverse, and their highs are much higher (hehe). The Eagles have some great pop songs, but they're just so friggin' boring and samey.

Having said that, I don't like most live Dead.

Samey? I find their discography extremely diverse. Country-tinged, ballads, rock, r&b, etc

I saw the Grateful Dead in concert. They sucked.

You must not have been high enough to appreciate them. ;)

If the OP isn't a fan of either band then why create the poll?

General curiosity?

I'm not a fan of either but without The Grateful Dead, Phish or Widespread Panic might not exist.

And for this alone, I vote Eagles

;)

I'm in a Grateful Dead cover band. Plus my pic below should probably hint where I voted.

There is nothing like a Grateful Dead show.

The bus came by and I got on. That's where it all began.

What a long strange trip it's been.

I case anyone is wondering, the pic is from Fillmore East during a jam where most of the members of the Dead and the Allmans were on stage along with Mick Fleetwood and Peter Green.

The Eagles BLOW The Ungrateful Head AWAY!

Not even close!

I am a RUSHHEAD! FUKK the DEADHEAD.

The Grateful Dead is one of the worst bands in the Universe.

A bunch of hippy drug addict liberals getting loaded all day long to watch endless jams of boredom.

Even their pop hit "Touch Of Grey" is totally LAME.

Mickey Hart is good but this band is JUNK.

So since many of you think I'm just a rich kid with my own leer jet quick story.

When I was living at home with my mommy and daddy the ex-wife of the Grateful Dead keyboard player moved in next to my parents house.

She was totally cool.

So there was this DEAD END sign near the front of our street.

Some DEADHEAD came by with a spray paint can and wrote "HEAD" over "END."

I actually thought it was very clever.

Classic actually.

Jerry Garcia is a Legend. Just not my cup o tea.

You would say that

I can't stand all three of these overrated jam bands. LSD and pot smoking addicts.

I saw Oysterhead at The Greek in Berkeley years ago!

Les

Stewart

Trey

I felt like I was some pot smoking Grateful Dead concert.

It was so lame. I hate Phish. Phish Food by Ben And Jerry's is also terrible.

Oysterhead was great though. Seeing Stewart Copeland with Claypool was EPIC!

Trey's good enough for Stewart and Les. They thought so anyway. And you liked Oysterhead so there's that too.

A lot of those Oysterhead tunes have the Trey/Phish stamp on them. So why fight it?

Widespread Panic overrated? If anything, they're underrated! Nobody ever mentions them on TRF except me (that I've noticed). So on Planet TRF they couldn't possibly be overrated.

I agree Johnny. Trey did a great job in that band, I just didn't care for the stoner hippy loser clients who surrounded me.

Funny thing is, my father got into Widespread Panic like 7 years ago. I had no clue about them.

I bought some of their stuff. I was excited at first but then I got bored fast.

They are talented.

I would rather listen to them that that shit show Dave Mathews.

Ironically The Dave Mathews Band would be a hell of a lot better without DAVE MATHEWS! YUCK!

Remember when that piece of sh-- had his bus driver dump is excrement into the Chicago River.

Dave is garbage.

His drummer rules.

Hey, I like Panic a lot- especially with Jimmy Herring in the band.

I thought we'd talked about this before.
