Rick N. Backer
Ok let's break it down... We won't include Dee in this breakdown btw. I Don't Know vs Neon Knights = Close but a win for OzzyCrazy Train vs Children of the Sea = I have to make this a drawGoodbye To Romance vs Lady Evil = SabbathSuicide Solution vs Wishing Well = OzzyMr. Crowley vs Heaven and Hell = This is tough, another drawNo Bone Movies vs Die Young = SabbathRevelation (Mother Earth) vs Walk Away = OzzySteal Away (the Night) vs Lonely is the Word = Sabbath So I've got it a 3-3 tie. Except Heaven and Hell isn't the first song on "side 2." So it would be paired with Suicide Solution, and Wishing Well would take on Crowley. It doesn't matter it would be the same result, SS would tie with H&H and Crowley would whup Wishing Well. I'd say Sabbath wins the first one, Ozzy the second.

Mostly pointing out that if you were using the track listing to compare the two albums, as you obviously were, you had Heaven and Hell's track listing wrong. I already said Blizzard is a better album in my view.

goose
Blizzard of Ozz. Best 1980 album, no matter the contender. Hard to say otherwise. Not for me. Blizzard is great, but not quite the level of Heaven and Hell for me. I think Back in Black is a better album as well. The funny thing is, I think Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules are the two best Sabbath albums, so they'd beat out almost anything. But Blizzard and Diary are just flawless IMO. Back in Black has Given (as it appeared on the album originally) the Dog A Bone and Shake A Leg as filler (somewhat, anyways). It is, however, AC/DC's best album. How many artists put out their best albums in 1980 and 1981? Ozzy, Rush, Sabbath, AC/DC, Van Halen. Good time to be a 13 and 14 year old kid.

TexMike
Blizzard wins by a hair. H&H has more balls/heaviness, but Blizzard is musically richer. Finding a player of Randy's caliber was an incredible stroke of luck for Ozzy.
