GhostGirl
All I do with the links is take the "s" out of "https" and copy and paste the link here when i'm on my laptop. I only use the "share" option if i'm on my phone. I think she chose Embed before copying the link. That puts HTML code into it, and that won't work in here. You also have to uncheck the Share Playlist box if it's there, because that also adds extra code that the board can't use. Yes, grandmaw finally figured it out. Thanks, kids. Did you make cookies, grandmaw? I think I smell cookies. It's my new perfume. Tollhouse No. 5
ReRushed
This one is heartbreaking: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28zopv6175M The one with his kids...jesus. Right? :( I'm totally binging on Soungarden today while I work. Continued from late last night where I was up till 3am.Do you know what really impressed me about this video. The children are wearing earmuffs. Absolutely correct. Whenever I'm at a wedding or some other type of party where there's loud music, and I see a little kid dancing near the band or DJ and their parents are just standing there thinking "Oh how cute" without regard for the high volumes, I get pissed off.

HemiBeers
This one is heartbreaking: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28zopv6175MI did an earlier post of chris and his daughter doing a duet from his tour a year or so ago. It's on youtube and similarly heartbreaking being so current. Many family photos on his instagram page. My favorite is his daughter photobombing Chris and Jimmy Page. https://www.instagra...official/?hl=en Certainly not much solace for his kids at this point, but at least they're old enough now to have many fond memories. Now I can't stop listening to it. That the title sequence song from 2006's Casino Royale, the first Bond movie with Daniel Craig. Easily my favorite Bond song.

GhostGirl
http://youtube.com/watch?v=z1nXI8lgicg Amazing, thank you. I'd heard they performed this, I'm so glad to get to see it. That little moment at the beginning with Mike... wow.
KW84
Two of my favorite tributes: A 225 piece choir singing Black Hole Sun The Pretty Reckless covering Like A Stone This one is hands down my favorite. The singer Taylor is a huge Soundgarden fan & Chris was her hero. The Pretty Reckless were one of Soundgarden's opening acts on their recent tour & had played that night in Detroit. The emotion coming out of her while singing you can't help but tear up.

KW84
Today is Chris' funeral and I wanted to share Tom Morello's poem. You're a prince, you're a snare, you're a shadowYou're twilight and star burn and shadeYou're a sage, you're a wound shared, you're maskedYou're a pillar of smoke, you're a platinum heartYou're a brush fire, you're caged, you're freeYour vision pierces, you do not seeYou are pieces strewn on the hillsideYou're open armed, you're armed, you're trueYou're a revealer of visions, you're the passenger, you're a never fading scarYou're twilight and star burn and shadeYou're the secret veiled, you're the secret revealed, you're surrounded no moreYou're not there, now you're always hereYou're a handsome groom, a loving father, a haunted stairwellYou're the clear bell ringing, the mountains echo your songMaybe no one has ever known youYou are twilight and star burn and shade http://i.imgur.com/gHASkHS.jpg?1Rest in Peace Chris
GhostGirl
I read this poem last weekend, and was overwhelmed with its perfection. Tom is brilliant and clearly loved Chris very much.
Rick N. Backer
I've been watching a lot of Soundgarden and Audioslave live videos the last few days. Cornell was a very warm front man.
Boots
I'm doing art again for the first time since I moved. I'm doing all kinds of sketches of Chris Cornell, Roger Moore, and Ariana Grande too. I'm thinking of calling this whole project "Like a Stone" in honor of Chris. I need to find a place to upload them.

Chris was alive for much longer and had the chance to touch the lives of a lot more people. I seem to recall Cobain's memorial service being attended by thousands of people. No doubt there were many well known names there.
Tick
The one thing I've noticed is almost every tribute is someone performing Black Hole Sun. I had no idea that was his defining song. Its a great sun, but he has so many great ones. I personally love "Blow Up The Outside World" even better and that has kind of the same vibe.

There are a number of different songs. Including a great version of Blow Up The Outside World by Living Color.

For me I really like fell on black days as it has his softer and louder vocals throughout and the subject matter was suitable to the whole vibe of the band.
J2112YYZ
Let's not forget with these tributes bands are probably playing a song they already know how to play or is easy for them to learn. Not to mention easiest for them to sing. I don't care how talented a band might be. No one can bust out a song like Slaves And Bulldozers or Jesus Christ Pose on short notice without a number of rehearsals.

It's a good song, but like you pointed out there are a lot of great Soundgarden songs. Many of them preferable to "Black Hole Sun". But, I'm not complaining about the tributes. It's obviously a song a lot of people enjoy. Edited May 27, 2017 by ReRushed
