So I've loved this forum for many reasons. The biggest reason, after the cool guys I've met, is the music.

When I came to this forum I thought I had a very diverse music taste. Nearly four years later, I feel like I don't know enough!

So, here are my favourite bands I've come to know since joining:

Black Crowes

King's X

Kansas

Post-power Windows Rush

Tom Petty

Dream Theater (possibly my favourite love hate relationship ever)

Styx

Dokken

Ratt

Tonnes of cool stuff Treeduck listens too

Old bands I've come to know better or reconnect with (and the Member who led me there):

Styx (Segue)

Kansas (Segue)

Doors (Segue)

Grateful Dead (BlueJ)

Black Crowes (BlueJ)

Miles Davis (JohnRogers)

John Coltrane (JohnRogers)

Newer bands that have become favorites:

Subvision/Magna Carta Cartel/Ghost (Greyfriar, RUSHHEAD666. et al)

Others will come to me...

Roughly in the order in which they happened, since I joined here:

Yes

Genesis (Peter Gabriel era- I never loved Genesis at all before I heard the Gabriel stuff)

Porcupine Tree (and Steven Wilson solo)

Haken

Lacuna Coil

Gentle Giant

Spock's Beard

Van der Graaf Generator (and Peter Hammill solo)

Joe Bonamassa

Uriah Heep

I know I'll think of some more, too.

Porcupine Tree

I really do like this forum for the diversity, passion and open mindedness towards music.

- Quella Vecchia Locanda ( Cyclonus X1 and Blue J )

- Änglagård ( Chronos )

- Psychotic Waltz ( GreyFriar )

- Fleet Foxes ( Segue )

I've also gained a new appreciation for Bob Dylan and The Boss while here ...

Some of the better discussions here can be very inspiring as far as finding new things ..
