Megadeth has put out a lot of great music .. at 2:51am I can't think to rank them now, but Endgame is the most underrated - I like it as much as the earlier classics, if not more

Endgame is very well liked among the fanbase. I actually feel that album is rated pretty well, Haven't heard too many bad things about it. I like Dystopia just as much as the classic material. Never expected them to bounce back that strong after how awful Supercollider was.

Dialectic Chaos/This Day We Fight is easily one of their best album openers. Too bad they cut the tour for Endgame short in order to do the Rust In Peace 20th anniversary tour. I get why they did it and I loved being able to see them on that tour. But everything from Endgame except for Headcrusher got permanently shelved after that. It blows my mind that Dialectic Chaos/This Day We Fight never became a live staple.

I saw Megadeth yesterday opening for Scorpions, and they nailed it! I´m very proud of their new lead guitarrist Kiko Loureiro, who was born in Brazil like me. But I had this weird conversation with a dude next to me after the show:

Dude: "Hey, that guy Kiko-what´s-his-name-o was really good, eh?"

Me: "Yeah, man, I´m proud of him, because we come from the same place"

Dude: "Oh really, where´s that?"

Me: "Brazil"

Dude: "Oh, ok. I knew he was from somewhere in Europe"

   :eh:

Now that I've heard three:

1. Rust In Peace tied with Countdown To Extinction

2. Peace Sells... But Who's Buying

I know how beloved Peace Sells is, and while I also love it, it still just doesn't compare to Rust and Countdown for me.

It doesn't compare with quite a few of their albums for me. Rust and Countdown are definitely among the ones I consider superior.

The System Has Failed

Super Collider (at least this album has some memorable songs unlike the following)

Dystopia (rehashed riffs and Dave just growls--the only saving grace is Kiko's stellar solos)

I used to really love Countdown but over time a good portion of the second half of the album doesn't hold up as well for me. I still like it a lot though and Ashes In Your Mouth is f***in fantastic. Right up there with anything off Rust or Peace Sells.

This was a Canadian guy you were talking to? Doesn't seem like he said "eh" enough in that exchange

Yep...he was Canadian to his very core. Of course I ommitted a buch of "ehs", or else this story woud be twice as long! :D
