Good miminalist punk album

Veering slowly into goth territory

Full goth

Full goth on steroids

Trippy psychedelic album

Trippy psychedelic album but good and Radio friendly

Mix our quirky and goth sounds and make both Radio friendly with top 40 hit

Go back to goth roots and oddly enough make it out best selling album with a #2 song in the us behind Miss You Much by Janet

Remix time!

Let's sound more upbeat for the 90s with shoegaze with a preppy song about days of the week.

Our most upbeat song with more strings than synths but our worst album!

Back to goth roots for the new millennium!

Straightforward alt rock with the guy who produces Korn albums.

Straight forward rock comprised of singles.

The cure?

OK, probably way too easy-

1. Early years- We quietly did covers of some other hits

2. Middle years- We made absolutely awesome classic recordings, with our dynamite keyboard player and very moody guitarist

3. Later years- We stormed the world with our burnin' recordings before still more personnel changes . . . .

We have had the same drummer for 49 years.

Deep f***ing Purple

Great job, I wasn't too good at this and had bad puns about Hush and Burn !

We are not a Pearl Jam ripoff!

Let's do a blues rock song and a southern rock song!

Did we mention that we can do psychedelic rock?

Back to basics

I don't even know what the hell this is.

We can do classic rock and people will like it!

Oh boy...

  • I came across a dying horse that became engulfed in a purple tinted inferno.
  • WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • I met a one eyed Sasquatch, a loose cannon wolf and a wild Scott Kelly.
  • I got sucked into a wormhole, met Rasputin and rammed into Satan's manparts. True story.
  • I was making some sculptures made out of buckeye burl but then I had an accident.
  • I rode the high road to my aunt's place when at the stroke of midnight, I entered a tunnel that looked light it came out of my psychedelic nightmare.
  • In the desert on the verge of death, I wanted to listen to one last song but when I pressed shuffle this annoying Foo Fighters meets Queens Of The Stone Age song played and I died right then and there.

Mastodon

I bet the band would get a good kick out of my description. Especially the last one...I can honestly say that I think "Show Yourself" is the worst song they ever wrote than even my sister chimed in to say that and I quote, "This doesn't sound like what I'd think they'd usually do."

Everyone thinks it's the best it seems but they haven't been right to my ears since Crack The Skye.

From that album onwards they just became...ordinary.

"Ordinary" is one way to describe post-CTS Mastodon. Actually, I thought The Hunter was overall great compared to Once More 'Round The Sun which didn't sit too well with me. As a whole, I just think (and this is my own opinion) they're trying break into the mainstream by being "ordinary" when they don't even need to be doing either...

I just hope "Show Yourself" is a one dud wonder and the rest of the album is not as dudtacular cause "Sultan's Curse" was a really promising return to Crack The Skye sound that I personally like.

I'd prefer a return to the Leviathan era with a few more experimental flourishes.

I dunno...although I enjoy a lot of mainstream music, Mastodon's evolution has been unforgivable to my ears. Bands like Paradise Lost went through "commercial" phases without losing what made them special. Mastodon just...I can't even explain it really it just gutted me.

Crack The Skye might be the darling of many but I remember for me and many fans at the time it felt like a betrayal. And that was before what came next (sickening to say the least).

I dunno...Mastodon to me are just...dead. I guess I can understand those fans who felt Rush died with the post-Brown years.

Coz when Mastodon embraced the mainstream they embraced blandness. Remission through Blood Mountain were three records that helped define my tastes. I can't really believe even now that the Mastodon who made those albums can really have been the band that gave us...yikes...Curl Of The Burl or whatever that embarrassment of a song was.

Creepiest side one, track one, ever

Arguably the greatest album of all time

No drop in quality, but way too short

We're almost a prog band, but still too good ( ;))

We're so close to being a prog band we hired a prog hero to help us out (but we're still too good)

The first crack in the armor, half this album isn't good

Like another big band in this era, our seventh is our worst effort

A step up from our last album, but no one's really into it as much as we're into the drugs

We hire a new member from another band, and we release a classic. But we're not the same band anymore.

The last album was so good, we're going to basically redo it. And it works.

We should have hung it up. But we're going to continue on for a loooong time.

We play loud rock and roll...With different singers depending on the album, but aside from that, not much has changed (x20)

ACDC?

Chuck Berry set the mould.

Hard rock boogie woogie.

The bell is ringing.

USA here we come.

Oh crap too much to drink.

Here comes a flat cap.

You've been thunder...clapped?

Let's just forget these albums.

Touring on a kilt wearer's legacy.

Where do go now?

Not too familiar, but sounds like it might be Genesis

Put out an ep in 1983.

The band loved this woman's legs so much that they put her on the cover again on their first lp.

Someone in this band was connected to the Berle Family.

Someone in this band passed away from AIDS.

The band was infatuated with a Disneyland character.

It's a "shame" if you can't instantly know this band............

The bass player used to be in DOKKEN.

Hahaha!

Glad I saw your correct answer before bed time! Well done! It was kind of obvious but I'm glad you nailed it!

I love that I'm still "Wanted Man" in these cyber parts!! LOL!

I will always be coming "Back For More!"

I have no problem listening or reading other forum member posts because I don't have any "Lack Of Communication" skills!

I know I love to push the envelope on a public forum and it really is "Dangerous But Worth The Risk!"

Sometimes a certain human can really push my buttons so I really have to man up and "Lay It Down!"

It's such as "Shame Shame Shame" that many don't get me, but luckily some do.

Goodnight Myles!

Love,

"ROUND AND ROUND"

LOL!
