9/11 - never forget

Some things never change.

As time passes, we become more and more separated from great events and/or tragedies, and the more likely it is for people to forget them, or profit from them, or make sport of them. Soon enough, most people will ignore the significance of 9-11-2001 as they do 7-20-1969, or 12-7-1941, or 5-9-1865.

Luckily for us, there are just enough people in this country who are wise enough to never forget. We, the enlightened ones, keep this country from descending into oblivion.

We'll always have douchebags making fun of tragedies just to be 2edgy4me, nothing will ever change that.

Unless we shoot 'em.....

I'm a little late to the party here, but this filth is disrespectful and utterly unacceptable.

EDIT: I meant the commercial, not what you guys are doing. Oops.

Twin beams of light that burn so bright

Shine in remembrance high up into the distance.

In the city that never sleeps, the Statue of Liberty weeps.

Where honor never fails, justice still prevails.

It never happened before. Who could say anymore?

The unspeakable tragedy, a dark moment in history.

Leaders are shaking while hearts are breaking.

The ground is being cleared in search of the disappeared.

Families left grieving, they keep on believing

There is hope to go on from dusk until dawn.

Children born without fathers, that fateful day still bothers,

It still brings us to tears, brings out our greatest fears.

We must never forget we are not defeated yet.

We are stronger than the past; our nation will always last.

United we stand all across the land

In defence of our rights, in the darkest of nights,

We will not give in to fear; our mission becomes clear.

Lives have not been lost in vain; their legacy will always remain.

The ultimate sacrifice, not once but twice.

Freedom worth dying for, heroes worth crying for.

Soldiers sent to the field before the pain is healed,

Not afraid to fly, never scared to die.

Towers are gone away, seems like yesterday.

A need to do what's right, now there shines thin blue light.

And to add to that, this particular person I was talking about then went on to make videos making fun of school shootings.

What's worse, this commercial or asshole NFL players protesting the national anthem of a country that allows them the freedom to make millions... on 9/11

I'll choose door 3, the contents of which can only be seen in SOCN.
