Geddy and Alex were on George Strombouloupoulos' CBC radio show tonight for a new interview and here is the link to it- http://strombo.com/r.....m/r.../radio/ (Thanks RIAB !) I'm sorry, I don't know how long it is, I just started listening to it. So far, just looking back at receiving the key to the city and Caress of Steel but they are supposed to be discussing the Rush: Time Stand Still documentary along with the upcoming 2112 40th anniversary release. (Turns out it is about 30 minutes long.) Should be interesting . . . about 6 minutes in and Geddy said he is over being in denial and is accepting that they will not tour again . (Edited to remove the part that said music from 2112:40th anniversary will be played. If they did do that, it wasn't included in the online interview.)

Here is something I have wondered since I first heard the song: Why on Earth did Rush choose Aimee Mann to guest star on Time Stand Still? They've never had a guest singer before or since, so why did they a) decide to have a guest singer at all? and b) choose her, of all available people? Aimee Mann is fine at what she does, but she does a completely different thing from Rush. Her band was essentially a one-hit wonder. Was Rush so desperately trying to fit in with the "new wave kids" that they just chose some cute popular chick so that they could sell more records? I really don't understand that whole thing.
