After years of being unseen by the public, Neil's Moving Pictures and Permanent Waves Tama Drum Kit has been reassembled and showcased in a new video on YouTube. It is in beautiful condition, and whoever owns it now has done a great job caring for it.

Rules: Each song starts out with 10 points. With every post, you are allowed to take one point away from a song, and add one point to a song. You must wait a while between postings - at least a few hours - so that everyone has an opportunity to heal and hurt equally. Also, if you could, copy and paste the text and keep up with the tally every time you post. This way I don't have to keep up with it. :) If anyone thinks of any rules that would make the game better, let me know and I can edit this original post. Let's see how things turn out! Heal: The Camera Eye Hurt: Tom Sawyer Tom Sawyer - 9 Red Barchetta - 10 YYZ - 10 Limelight - 10 The Camera Eye - 11 Witch Hunt - 10 Vital Signs - 10

So in a post I recently made in another thread, I make an anecdote about Moving Pictures and how I believe the tracks on it should have been ordered. This gave me another cool idea that I'm not certain has been done before. Why not make a new thread out of it? So here is your task fellow Rush fanatics. Choose a Rush album (or multiple Rush albums) that you believe you can improve the track order on, and post your new version here! I shall begin with what I believe to be the more perfect version of what is possibly Rush's most perfect album, Moving Pictures! Moving Pictures [alternate (improved) track order] Limelight Tom Sawyer Red Barchetta YYZ The Camera Eye Witch Hunt Vital Signs

RUSH FANS We're pleased to announce that Episode One of LE STUDIO - TEMPLE OF SOUND is now up, live on YouTube. We're all aware of LeStudio from the Moving Pictures videos (Tom Sawyer, Limelight, Vital Signs), but many of us don't know the current or past LeStudio legacy in detail: LeStudio was formerly a world class recording studio found in the Laurentian Mountains of Canada. More precisely, in the forest of Morin Heights, Quebec. It was the private retreat of Rush for the writing and recording of (8) of their albums. Plus hundreds of countless artists over the years. By 2003, it was closed down, sold, and now sits stripped of all it's furnishings & equipment, abandoned in the forest. Episode one covers the LeStudio backstory in broad view. From inception to current state. This was important to give viewers a strong foundation for future episodes. Since the main character is a recording studio, it needed to be given a life story before we show it in its coffin. Future episodes will venture inside the building. We will also be making efforts to bring supplementary material to this channel to enhance the historical background of this magical place. https://www.youtube.com/user/lestudiochannel

Hear a brand new interview I did with Paul Northfield (producer / engineer of Moving Pictures, Permanent Waves, Signals, Exit Stage Left and Vapor Trails). A lot of great Rush stories to be had, and a great insight into the recording of those records. Rush stuff starts around the 26 minute mark. Also included are stories about working with Gentle Giant, Pat Travers, April Wine, Kim Mitchell, Ozzy Osbourbe, Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree and others. You can hear the interview here:

Hey, so I was looking through the new articles posted about Rush on the Power Windows website, when I found an article interviewing Geddy, and he is asked his top favorite albums. Of course he is hesitant because like all of them have said, it is like picking a favorite child, he did narrow it down to 2112, Moving Pictures, Power Windows, and Clockwork Angels (not in that order), because he felt they were the most satisfying. I think it does not shock anyone to see 2112, MP, and CA on there, but I am wondering what everyone thinks of Power Windows being up there. I am over-joyed, but slightly shocked, seeing as how not many interviews from the era have them particularly happy with the album compared to how much praise they are giving CA. I would be even more shocked if they did not feature more than halve the album over the last two tours. I was just wondering what everyone else thought, if it is or surprising or not. Here is the link to the article. http://www.list.co.uk/article/51389-interview-with-rush-singer-bassist-geddy-lee/

Hello everyone! This is my first post in The Rush Forum. I've just finished a Rush-related project that I've been working at school for the past nine weeks and wanted to share it with fellow Rush fans here. It is a stop-motion video set to Tom Sawyer with lyrics, printmaking, and a Mark Twain guitar solo. I put a lot of work into this and I'd love for you to check it out. Also, let me know what you think and share it with others if you dig it. Thanks so much! Modern Day Warrior: http://youtu.be/gapX8lunWk0
