  1. Tull drenches themselves in bluesy feedback and Zappa lets his good friend Captain Beefheart sing about a 20 dollar bill. Tough choice for me.
  2. I'm as surprised as you are. What probably would've been better would be DSOTM vs. CTTE and then have Thin Lizzy and Jethro Tull duke it out, but here we are. That's how the dice rolled! This one'll be a blowout for sure, lol.
  3. So it seems we don't have one of these, well now we do! Here's a place to discuss Jethro Tull to your heart's desire! Oh, and vote for your favorite Tull studio album! Personally, I've always been amazed at how commercially successful Tull were in the 70s for how little of them I've ever heard on the radio, but maybe they were more of a UK thing. That might explain it. Also apparently Aqualung wasn't released as a single from Aqualung? Could've fooled me, as I'm not sure I've heard another Tull song played half as much as that one.
  4. There are some big Gentle Giant fans here, and quite a few fans of Jethro Tull, and I have researched both bands a little, but am stuck on where to start. Could some of you more experienced fans please take a moment to give me a briefing on each groups discography?? I want advice as, more than any other prog bands, these two groups intimidates me. Do not suggest I am looking for the easiest listen (I began my Yes journey with Tales, and it could not have turned it any better for me), but after all the help I had from you guys with Yes and recently Genesis, I am hoping for a bit of a push with these two bands.
