  1. GLENN TIPTON, ROB HALFORD And RICHIE FAULKNER Are Working On Music For Next JUDAS PRIEST Album JUDAS PRIEST members Rob Halford, Glenn Tipton and Richie Faulkner have commenced the official songwriting sessions for the band's follow-up to "Firepower" album. Released in March 2018, "Firepower" was the second LP to feature the 40-year-old Faulkner, who was selected to fill the void left by founding guitarist K.K. Downing following his exit in 2011. Earlier today (Monday, February 3), Faulkner tweeted a photo of the trio from the studio and included the following caption: "Giving birth to new metal babies. #judaspriest writing sessions 2020 with grand master Tipton and the Mg RHRF DOTF #forgingthesteel" Last month, Faulkner said that he had "a ton of ideas" for PRIEST's next disc. He added: "We just have to get together and see what metal magic we can create"
  2. This is a special oddball question poll, a kind of "imagine if" poll. Going back in time etc... All these situations are cast iron guaranteed, ie you can't get fired. You're a member of the team, the inner circle. Which position would you choose.
  3. There's a new Megadeth album coming out later in the year, so now's a good time to take stock of the other 15 albums produced so far...
  4. New songs on the album have titles like "The Dogs of Chernobyl", "Life in Hell", "The Frozen Factory", "Faster Than Anything Else" and "Rattlehead Part 2".
  5. It's official: JUDAS PRIEST will be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame this year. PRIEST will receive the Musical Excellence Award at the event, which will honor Eminem, Dolly Parton, DURAN DURAN, Lionel Richie, Pat Benatar, EURYTHMICS and Carly Simon in the Performers category. The award for Musical Excellence — which was originally titled the "Sidemen" category when it debuted — is given to artists, musicians, songwriters and producers whose originality and influence creating music have had a dramatic impact on music. Back in 2010, when the Sidemen category was renamed the award for Musical Excellence, Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Foundation president Joel Peresman told The Plain Dealer the category "gives us flexibility to dive into some things and recognize some people who might not ordinarily get recognized." JUDAS PRIEST is the second band to receive the award for Musical Excellence; the E STREET BAND was the first. Last year, late OZZY OSBOURNE and QUIET RIOT guitarist Randy Rhoads was one of the recipients of the Musical Excellence Award. According to the Hall Of Fame, the JUDAS PRIEST members that will get inducted include current members Rob Halford (vocals),Ian Hill (bass),Glenn Tipton (guitar) and Scott Travis (drums),along with former members K.K. Downing (guitar),Les Binks (drums) and late drummer Dave Holland. "Wow, this is so exciting — at last. At last, you know?" Halford told Billboard after receiving the news before the public announcement. "And, glory hallelujah, there's another metal band in the Hall Of Fame! That's the blessing we've all been waiting for." The induction ceremony will be held on November 5, 2022 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. It will air at a later date on HBO and stream on HBO Max. There will also be a radio simulcast on SiriusXM's Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Radio channel 310.

  12. I've really gone off this channel for some reason. I'm not sure what it is, maybe it's the "Hudson Valley Squares" segment? I hardly watch it now.
  13. The one in Bad Motor Scooter or the one in Red Barchetta? So it's Sammy Hagar's girlfriend's daddy's farm or the guy in Red Barchetta's uncle's farm. We don't get enough farms in ROCK, that's why I'm asking this kind of abstract question! There is no logic in this, it's a feel thing.
  14. Can Mickey Rourke get his real face back in time for his 70th birthday? Or is he too far gone? Maybe if he just cuts out the silly haircuts and weird outfits he can look like Mickey Rourke again? Is the real Mickey Rourke still out there?
  15. I bought this album back in the day and thought it was pretty good. Well-recorded, pretty good song-list, had almost all the F.U.C.K. album tracks included etc. I mean yeah it's Van Hagar but it's still good.
