  1. Mick compared these bands in the album thread and it gave me this poll idea! I'm pretty straight ticket Supertramp personally, though I do enjoy some good Dan from time to time... the band.
  2. Easy poll for me. No slight against the Dan, but Genesis outrank most everybody for me, and Wind & Wuthering is one of the first albums that got me into them (honestly, it might be the most important album in my transition from non fan to hardcore fan).
  3. These are the albums and year of release. Can't Buy a Thrill (1972) Countdown to Ecstasy (1973) Pretzel Logic (1974) Katy Lied (1975) The Royal Scam (1976) Aja (1977) Gaucho (1980) Two Against Nature (2000) Everything Must Go (2003) Mine is the debut album Can't Buy a Thrill.
  4. So I am listening to my playlist on my phone and decide to hit the Dan this afternoon and after not listening for awhile I am reminded yet again what a great band they were. So any love out there for the Dan? And as to the obligatory best and worst lists, I think Katy Lied was their best album, followed closely by Can't Buy a Thrill and Aja. My least favorite album is Gaucho, from their classic period. The two newer albums - Two Against Nature and Everything Must Go - I am not really including as they are more footnotes, although I found a few songs on Two Against Nature to be enjoyable. If I did include them Everything Must Go would be dead last. 1. Katy Lied 2. Can't Buy a Thrill 3. Aja 4. Pretzel Logic 5. Countdown to Ecstasy 6. The Royal Scam 7. Gaucho 8. Two Against Nature 9. Everything Must Go
