  1. Perhaps Queen's worst album vs. what I'm told is Jon Anderson's best.
  2. At long last! The random poll generator has picked my favorite album of all time, and graced it with a worthy opponent! I won't be surprised if FM win this, knowing how Queen tends to turn some people off, but for me a poll has never once been easier.
  3. Interesting, I don't think we've touched the Stones yet, and these albums are both from 1974! Who had a better year, forgetting about the fact that Queen put out two albums that year. Interesting note, despite the proggy goodness of Queen II, the Stones actually have the longest song between the two albums with Fingerprint File, about 7 seconds longer than The March Of The Black Queen.
  4. Gaaaah! I was all ready to vote for the constantly overlooked and underrated Wishbone Ash, and then the RPG put it up against Queen. Needless to say my votes all go to Queen. But! Live Dates is phenomenal, Wishbone Ash is essential, and the guitar solo on the live version of Throw Down The Sword is transcendent.
  5. The RPG is finally realizing Queen exists in the past week or so. Shame I haven’t been able to make up my mind in any of the polls yet, but this one I’m pretty sure of! Leftoverture beats out The Game on account of being a whole masterpiece versus half of one. But of course Queen takes home the band trophy.
  6. Talk about eclecticism! The dark horse of Queen's discography vs. the wild and diverse most recent entry into Devin Townsend's catalogue.
  7. Well darn, here I am usually silently complaining the random poll generator never picks many of my favorite albums, and here it goes and pits two albums I love dearly from my favorite bands up against each other... tough call to make here... tough call
  8. I love both and they have about the same number of albums, so let's compare! Please note my ranking is likely to be incredibly Queen biased if you weren't already expecting that. Queen vs. Genesis Queen > From Genesis To Revelation Queen II > Tresspass Sheer Heart Attack > Nursery Cryme A Night At The Opera > Foxtrot A Day At The Races > Selling England By the Pound News Of The World = The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway Jazz < A Trick Of The Tail The Game < Wind And Wuthering Flash Gordon = ...And Then There Were Three Hot Space < Duke The Works > Abacab A Kind Of Magic < Genesis The Miracle > Invisible Touch Innuendo > We Can't Dance and I haven't heard Calling All Stations, so I'll refrain from voting here. Tallied Up that's 8 for Queen, 4 for Genesis, and 2 ties!

  10. Two iconic songs looking back on the legacy of the radio and its fall to MTV, neither of which are The Spirit Of Radio because that would win in a blowout. Which do you choose?
  11. What do you think, Queen fans? Can you get excited about actors playing the members of Queen? Is this going to be too much information about Queen? Would you rather there be some mystery? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xz5qOxttDkw
  12. Here's my list: 1. Sheer Heart Attack (1974) 2. A Night at the Opera (1975) 3. Queen II (1974) 4. A Day at the Races (1976) 5. Queen (1973) 6. Jazz (1978) 7. The Works (1984) 8. The Game (1980) 9. A Kind of Magic (1986) 10. Innuendo (1991) 11. News of the World (1977) 12. Flash (1980) 13. The Miracle (1989) 14. Hot Space (1982)
  13. "One day in 1981 Bowie reunited with Queen in a recording studio in Switzerland, with the intention of doing vocals for the song “Cool Cat” . David got bored and suggested writing a new song from scratch. According to Mark Blake, author of a biography of Freddie Mercury, they began a 24 hours marathon of wine and cocaine and ended up with this musical gem."
