I've looked through the previous game and I thought it looked like a lot fun to play, so I've decided to make a sequel to the game. I'll start it with this, I don't know if this'll be too funny, if funny at all, but I'll at least try. "Argh, Alex! This is the last time I let you borrow my glasses! Thanks to you misplacing them, I can't see a damn thing I'm playing!" That's the best I can do, at least at this moment, sorry if it's not funny.

Look, I know this sounds like a weird topic, but I just have to ask, does anybody on this forum have some rare pictures/screenshots of Geddy without his glasses? Like ones that are from the 2000s to more recent times, and if anyone has said pictures, could I possibly see them? By the way, I started a new topic yesterday on Music Of The Spheres about a band I like called NICO Touches The Walls. Here's the link if you wanna check it out. http://www.therushforum.com/index.php?/topic/114138-nico-touches-the-walls/

Hi, I just joined this forum yesterday and I was looking for a place to post this topic and I felt this was the best place to put it in. My question is, does anybody go to the website rushradio.net aka Rush Radio 2112 and has anybody noticed recently that the website hasn't been able to load up for a few days, I thought it was just temporarily down, but now I don't know. I just really want to know what's going on with the website.

Geddy has announced he's writing a memoir! Scheduled to be released in Fall 2022. His announcement on Instagram is long but exciting. From @geddyimages: "So, how did I kill time during the pandemic? Little did I know that as of March 2020 I'd be locked down for over a year and a half—the longest time I'd spent in Toronto since I was nineteen and hit the Northern Ontario bar circuit with Rush. Although Nancy and I had to cancel a bunch of adventures we'd been planning, there were some shiny silver linings to be found at home: teaching my grandson the finer points of baseball and birdwatching, tending to my pups (one of whom was quite ill) and spending the evenings with my lovely better half, glass of Armagnac in hand, as we watched every European mystery show ever produced. Oh, and another thing: I began to write. Words, that is. My friend and collaborator on the Big Beautiful Book of Bass, Daniel Richler, saw how I was struggling in the aftermath of Neil's passing, and tried coaxing me out of my blues with some funny tales from his youth, daring me to share my own in return. So I did—reluctantly at first, but then remembering, oh yeah, I like wrestling with words. It's a less physical version of arguing with musical notes, without a Ricky doubleneck breaking my back! And soon my baby-step stories were becoming grownup chapters. Being the nuclear obsessive that I am, I'd write and re-write them, reassessing perspectives in the narrative not just by scouring my memory banks but my diaries and piles of photo albums too. I was piecing together a mystery of a different kind. I'd then send these improved and even illustrated stories to Daniel, who'd clean up some of the grammar and remove a lot of the swearing (I love to f***ing swear), and presto! In a voice that sounded, well, just like me, a presentable, epic-length account of my life on and off the stage was taking shape: my childhood, my family, the story of my parents' survival, my travels and all sorts of nonsense I've spent too much time obsessing over. And Daniel said, "I think you're writing a book. An actual memoir, in fact." To which I replied, “Hmm… I guess I am.” I'm rounding third on this as-of-yet untitled memoir, which will be published by HarperCollins, edited by Noah Eaker, and is scheduled for release in Fall 2022." Bring it on, buddy! It better be easier to handle than that suitcase sized Book of Bass!

It's not a long interview, but Geddy is lovely as always. Sorry about all the newspaper pop ups. https://nationalpost...rEMYiNGUPPOELF8

This was just posted in another FB group I am in- there will be a benefit performance on Canadian television Sunday night at 6:30 pm where many artists will be performing from their homes to benefit frontline workers in the coronavirus crisis. Geddy is not named in the list of artists on the web site but there is a screen shot from an ad showing him as one of the appearing artists (and OMG they stuck his name next to Justin Beiber's! ) I know Canadian TV /webstreams of live TV are usually blocked to the US. Anyone in Canada willing to live stream this (so we can see like 90 seconds of Geddy? ). Rod in Toronto? Rush Fan Forever? More information here- https://www.ctv.ca/S...ws/announcement

I've listened to both Victor and My Favorite Headache at some length. I prefer Victor but deeply appreciate MFH. My feeling is that these two individual records bracket the broad continuum that represents the total sound that is RUSH. Alex's solo work is guitar-centered and frenetic. Geddy's is richly orchestrated and melodic. On average, wandering between these two "extremes" is the total package that makes RUSH so unique and special. Just my opinion that I felt like sharing to start the New Year.... Rock ON!!!

Happy 66th birthday to Geddy, and happy 45th anniversary to the new guy! Neil joined the band 45 years ago today, in 1974. The guys bought equipment for their first tour the next day and they were off! (I wish that I could live it all again!).

treeduck! Catchthemystery! Greyfriar! Here's your chance! Geddy will be signing books in Europe during June.

There's not that much new in this interview, but Geddy does talk beautifully and sadly a bit about the end of Rush. Nice video, too. https://torontosun.com/entertainment/music/i-miss-my-buddies-geddy-lee-reflects-on-rush-and-his-love-of-bass?fbclid=IwAR2Hjg3ROEb8KfiBxsI-M5NVeasryKKHGxPC7rJfnMc-2loEhcp_kkmqv7c

I'm curious to know what your initial reaction was to Geddy's voice the very first time you heard it? For me, I first heard Geddy sing on Bastille Day and I was totally blown away and instantly took to his voice like a duck to water (or would that be a "Dirk" to water) . . . How 'bout you?

My experience with trying to watch previous things on CBC streaming is that it is blocked if you are in the US, but you never know, you can try! At least we should get to see a few new photos next week.

This popped up on Instagram this morning; I know a lot of people like this lyric so here ya go. Supposedly the shirt offer expires at the end of the day; I don't know anything about that. It is kind of an interesting looking shirt. It's a place like Zazzle, you can get the image on a mug, phone case, etc if you don't need a shirt. Comes in black and other colors too. https://www.incretee...794-GS1-TC0-NAV

Geddy was spotted at the Pearl Jam concert last night at the ACC in Toronto. From the PearlJam.com forum, posted on RushIsABand.com, Eddie Vedder acknowledged Ged from the stage- "Ed talks about cities and their 'erections' or monuments. He says Rush is monumental. (Geddy Lee is sitting on the monitor wing). The audience cheers loudly. Mike plays a couple of chords from "Fly By Night". Jeff plays a couple of notes from Cygnus X-1. Ed says we have been a band for twenty five years but if we wanted to play a Rush song we would probably have to play for another twenty five. Geddy laughs. Ed continues "they have XYZ (sic) we are more like LMNOP. Getting back to monuments and erections we have the Space Needle and you have the CN tower. This next song was written underneath the Space Needle.") ... Here is an update on an event Geddy attended in London last week, with accompanying photo- (all from RushIsABand- thank you!) "The Teenage Cancer Trust's annual fundraising event is taking place at Royal Albert Hall in London all last week and the festivities kicked off April 19th with an Evening of Comedy hosted by John Bishop. Rush's Geddy Lee is a big fan of British comedy and has a residence in London, so it's no surprise that he was at the show as seen in this tweet from the Teenage Cancer Trust's Music Manager Angie Jenkison. The Who's Roger Daltrey is the Patron of the event, which is now in its 16th year." http://i425.photobucket.com/albums/pp338/plantfan40/Screen%20Shot%202016-04-29%20at%2011.57.27%20PM.png

Wanted to ask and see if anyone knew anything about this particular shirt Geddy wore in the documentary. You can see it at 12:19. White shirt, black letters with red rectangle. I'm trying to recreate...and don't know what the bottom verbiage says. If anyone has any info on this, I'd appreciate it. It seems like it's a date of sorts.. like 10 | 16 | 1970 or something like that. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f79/dimitripapadimitriou/rushshirt_zps6et06exb.jpg"]http://http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f79/dimitripapadimitriou/rushshirt_zps6et06exb.jpg[/url]

Here's another interview with Geddy, and it contains a little bit of different stuff than many of the others I've read recently. http://noisey.vice.com/blog/rush-geddy-lee-interview Some fun bits: Noisey: Are you sick of talking about R40 Live yet? Geddy Lee: [Laughs] Getting there. Have you noticed how many more women are coming to the shows in the last ten years, though? It really seems like something’s changed. Yeah, I have noticed. And in fact a friend of mine told me at one of our shows this year that there was an actual line-up at the women's washroom, which is crazy. Breaking new boundaries!

I was wondering if anybody has sent in any vinyl Rush albums, CD booklets, or photos to the venue to be signed by the band? Im going to see the boys June 10th in Buffalo, and I contacted my venue and they said they would forward any fan mail to the band to be signed. Has anybody gotten anything back yet, signed? If so, please post a photo!

Okay, after pouring through videos of shows from the tour, I feel pretty confident in most of these (unless he's switching on the same song from night to night, but I haven't noticed that in non-rotation setlist tracks so far). say Gene Simmons? Not his playing or vocals but his "off the stage" antics, arrogance and money grubbing nature. We all know how talented he is but don't we all love him just as much because he's that nice Jewish boy from Toronto? He is so modest and down to earth. How differently would we feel about him if he was just not that nice of a guy?

RIAB mentioned an interview with Geddy and a reference to Rush's 41st anniversary tour in 2015. The interview is pretty much only about wine, but the tagline on the article says "Rush is in the midst of planning a 41st anniversary tour." Since they didn't talk to Geddy about it this does not serve as confirmation, but if a random food & wine magazine is announcing the tour then maybe there is a grain of truth behind it. Read and decide for yourself: http://issuu.com/terroni/docs/t_mag_smr6_2014_web_single

I've always known that Geddy's parents were Holocaust survivors. Recently, I learned that they actually met in the concentration camp. They were even separated at one point, but through some miracle of human perserverance they were able to reunite and create a life together. The story is as poignant as it is tragic; and I couldn't help but be moved almost to tears. I got to thinking: without the holocaust, without the most awful and despicable event in modern human history, there would be no Geddy Lee, there would be no Rush. So, it begs the question, was it worth it??
