So when making my posts in the classic rock threads today I was looking through this list: https://b1027.com/the-500-greatest-classic-rock-songs-of-all-time-b102-7/ I figured it might be a fun idea to list out 120 songs from this 500 song list, and then vote in later threads to choose our favorite classic rock radio staples! So here's how it should go. Take a look through the list I linked above (and I'll also copy and paste in into a separate post so you don't have to flip through your tabs), and choose one of your favorite songs from the list. Post that song in this thread. I'll come in periodically to keep the songs all in a list (or we can all work together to make sure things stay numbered), and once we hit 120, I'll make a poll so we can start voting for our favorites! I'll start: 1. Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen :)

What song best represents classic rock to you?

For me there are a number of options, but nothing gets it so on the nose as this somewhat under appreciated gem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSdBtoIIYT4 -
Who takes the end of year glory between these two seventy something legends?

I will try to listen to both of them today so I can vote as well.

I was listening to Music Choice Classic Rock on my cable tv, and I was pleasantly surprised when they played Xanadu. There is no video with Music Choice, just general pictures and facts. I remember a time when I listened to a record or a cassette and had to envision the music in my imagination. In a time before MTV, those guys were really talented at bringing the visual to life.

Their names are with the photos so you'll know but would you recognize these two classic rock icons otherwise? They were both fraternity brothers of my uncle at The University of Wisconsin in 1963. Uncle broke out the photo during a recent visit back to the homeland. The one guy's nickname is "Boz"... Rock on! http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z33/bfwgjma/Bucky%20Bikes%20the%20Bay%20Sept%2019%202009/0515161523_zpsynnjsu6o.jpg http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z33/bfwgjma/Bucky%20Bikes%20the%20Bay%20Sept%2019%202009/0515161513_zpsws53ymh5.jpg
