  1. I'm going to Corvettes at Carlisle to shop for my Corvette. Problem is I'm no longer sure what the hell I want anymore... Although I’m a Mopar guy I did briefly enjoy C4 ownership back in 2001, every red blooded American gearhead should own a Corvette. My 1996 LT4 was a blast to drive but eventually family situations changed and a few years later the modern Dodge Challenger called to me. As I opened my business in 2014 the fun stuff was sold. It is time for something other than the family trickster grocery getter. I have a modest budget this time. Roger Moore My wife and I are of the generation that pictures the C3 shape in our minds when someone says Corvette. The C3 is the Roger Moore James Bond of the car world. Stunning in its inception but hung around too long becoming a punchline, yet when someone says James Bond its Roger Moore in the mind’s eye. You don’t see that iconic shape on the road much anymore. Yes the C3 is truly iconic. If you skip the chrome bumper cars it can be a bargain driver. So I was fixated on a 1978-1982 as a fun driver my wife and I can enjoy on weekend road trips. The ultimate goal the 82 CE, fuel injection a nice plus. Then I made the mistake of looking in the C4 For Sale section… Familiar Territory A fine well cared for ‘96 CE priced right. I always liked that ‘96 CE. Automatic this time so my better half can drive it too. Dependable enough for carefree cross country driving yet I’ve seen this movie before. Been there, done that. The late C4 is a clean shape yet unremarkable but maybe I need to consider the C4 while at Carlisle. The ulitmaite driver bargain…so I thought. Then I read an article at Road & Track http://www.roadandtr....old-or-bought/ Modern Day Warrior Mean-Mean Stride The C5 is the ultimate driving bargain. An LS1, transaxle, hydroform boxed frame, American torque brute. The Corvette that can compete with the best of Europe and Japan. It has everything a guy familiar with modern muscle cars can relate with and enjoy. They are everywhere, seen yet un-noticed. What sane man passes up the C5? What Corvette do I leave Carlisle with? On the subject, tips for smooth car corral transactions would also be appreciated.
  2. What is your song Gear Heads??? Red Barchetta, depicting a sci-fi dystopian future with our hero piloting an Italian classic. I Can't Drive 55, a protest song against the most stupid decision by the nanny state since prohibition, Sammy Hagar's pearly whites, downside is a smog era overpriced Lambo. Born to Run, love, angst, muscle cars, traffic clogged New Jersey boulevards and turnpikes. I dig 'em all, they each have their own charm. ROCK'N ROLL and Gasoline!
  3. I can't describe the level of discomfort I felt holding back the laughter as I read this. https://wonkette.com/619890/vegan-restaurant-owners-triggered-just-because-diner-didnt-want-to-see-their-kids-butthole
  4. Coming in August to NYC is the first ever non-official TRF summer convention*. In the city that never sleeps party like a fifty year old with other TRF members. Keep your good eye out for details here. http://youtu.be/2LmIOg33oPo *this event has not been sanctioned by Ray Danniels or any mods/admins of TRF.
  5. Reach up to the shelf in your closet, remove the hat box storing your imagination cap. Put your imagination cap on, peer out a window and ponder...imagine Terry Brown is in the studio working on Headlong Flight for 2112 or Moving Pictures. Would the song make your top 21 Rush song list???
  6. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/23/movies/roger-moore-was-the-best-bond-because-he-was-the-gen-x-bond.html?_r=0 Roger Moore is the C3 Corvette of the Bond series. Which of the seven is Moore's best?
  7. Greetings, pals. Beware the Anti-Zelix, he brings not a new age of inlightenment but an age of darkness and too much potassium. He is not solid gold awesomeness but mushy fruit. You will know him by his number of the beast. http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j223/OldRUSHfan/Banana%20World/flaming%20long%20legged%20banana.gif Do not cast your eyes upon this hideous creature. Now go in Zelix name to do good works.
  8. I lay blame on a small but vocal handful of you. You know who you are. Four months ago I signed up at the Toto Rocks Forum as another way to embrace this '70s band from Van Nuys, California. I downloaded pirated songs from Napster. I went to a concert at my local Native American casino. While discussing Toto with passionate fans at TRF I began to form relationships. One in particular with a fan called Lukather's Jorts, she is knowledgeable, she is passionate and raw. She reminds me what it is to be alive. We met at Totocon two months ago, my wife didn't come along she doesn't "get the band". LJ and I hit it off immediately, then we began to hit it all weekend like three times a day. I was supposed to fly back that Sunday but lied to my wife aboot my flight being cancelled. So LJ and I could have another day of tantric sex while enjoying the smooth sounds of Kingdom of Desire. The affair continued and yes I recently got busted. My wife has made certain demands, cutting off all ties to Toto is one. So I have decided to cancel my log-in privileges at TRF. All this started here at The Rush Forum with nonsense Toto talk. My life is ruined. f**k you guys!
  9. I thought aboot this from another thread now closed. That thread had a completely different topic. I wanted to share my favorite Marvel memories. Share yours...the occasional DC comic is fine too call it the Batman amendment. From my favorite issue. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PvpxG_rKbTg/TuGOqkISzUI/AAAAAAAAFro/q2HT7aml8Fo/s1600/68782.jpg http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KvteYXwuCZA/VZW8-wv9t2I/AAAAAAAATYc/ZpoZuJAYA9c/s640/13%2Btpb%2B1_16%2Bnew%2Bimproved%2Bcylon.JPG
  10. I got these married friends. He is fat, she is yuuuuuge. For over two years on Fakebook they're peddling this stuff yet they have appeared to lose zero pounds. It's become a joke. If you're going to peddle weight loss products at least appear to be trying. I swear they're fatter now. Just stop!
  11. I feel I'm alone in loathing Black Sabbath. Am I alone? Chime in here if you rather balance your checkbook than listen to Black Sabbath, rather have painful dental work, rather listen to Kenny G than Black Sabbath. Chime in Anti-Black Sabbath Army.
  12. Come across fat out arrogance? Post this handy pic and end the discussion right on the spot*. *may be useless for critical thinkers.
  13. There have been a lot of accusations about Neil being a cinnamon roll, just empty carbs. This is bullshit!!!!! Can we please put this disgraceful slur to bed please? Firstly Neil is a deep thinking complex man like a robust gazpacho. Secondly, Neil is a pauchy mild age man. Isn't cinnamon roll fat shaming? So can we please put this to bed ??
  14. I'm reading in another thread aboot other TRF members enjoying ham. Ha and pish-posh I say. Elites such as Denise and myself enjoy Prime Rib for the holidays...that's right Christmas, Thanksgiving and Independence Day is all Prime Rib. Birthdays too. Enjoy your "ham".
  15. Sexy Meg Griffin http://orig00.deviantart.net/da38/f/2009/326/9/a/meg_griffin_by_darknulus.jpg Sexy Pam http://i.imgur.com/IXCzBvB.png
  16. There have been a lot of confusion about Neil being the Rush bassist. Much of this before Google or Ask Jeeves. This is bullshit!!!!! Can we please put this confusion to bed please? He plays drums and writes most of the band's lyrics. Not all the lyrics as previously reported. Firstly Geddy is the long time bassist of the band. Except when Jeff Jones was the bassist. Secondly, Geddy also sings and does write some lyrics. In conclusion Neil plays drums and writes most not all the lyrics. So can we please put this to bed ??
  17. I will keep my Christmas avatar up through the end of Puerto Rican Christmas which is January 6th. I learned aboot ten years ago from my very Catholic wife that what my mother always called Puerto Rican Christmas is actually the Fest of the Epiphany.
  18. Just finished watching the R40 DVD, a few days ago actually. I now realize what a huge mistake it would be for the guys NOT to come back with another album or another tour (even a small, scaled down European one.) Rush is the best rock band ever… FACT no bs. I’ve seen them every show since the Signals tour. And, I want to remember them as they were - at the TOP of their game. So I propose surgery, HGH and Testosterone therapy. Fix those maladies the boys are suffering and get Olivia a side car, there is no better education than travel! Rush is NEVER over…was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor??? Think about the song, "Tai Shan"
  19. So I'm being a good son helping my mother. I'll be staying at her place for another few days. I received some items from Amazon including Time Stand Still the Bluray. ...yeah she got no Bluray player. Do I watch tonight on my laptop foregoing the Big Screen Home Theater system experience or wait till I get home Thursday? What is a guy to do?

Here we will share all things of the cultural icon Warner Brothers Roadrunner. I will focus mainly on the car by Plymouth. Glory in all things meep-meep! http://cdn2.bigcommerce.com/server5900/t5vrpooc/product_images/uploaded_images/1970-plymouth-road-runner-ad.jpg http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200702/1968-plymouth-road-runner-7_1280x0w.jpg

  22. I have been a closeted Duran x2 fan for thirty plus years. My concert tees were festooned with Eddie but secretly at home I felt The Reflex. I briefly had John Taylor's hairdo but blamed my hairdresser. http://youtu.be/oDnNF5cHCdo http://youtu.be/oOg5VxrRTi0 http://youtu.be/e3W6yf6c-FA
