  1. Sorry to hear that, and hope your daughter-in-law feels better soon. I had a good day, and being able to sleep in the afternoon made things better. I think/hope I'll be ok by Sunday. To be honest, the whole time I traveled this week I only wore a mask where it was absolutely mandatory - on the plane. But we'll see...I'm glad I caught the mild version of it, and in few days my immune system will be in top shape!
  2. I came home from a business trip last night, and woke up felling something tingling on my nostrils. I decided to test myself with a home kit, and voila...I finally got covid. I'm feeling ok though, the symptoms so far are like a flu.
  3. Maybe they're aware that the start of the show is mid-tempo, because Eddie comes up right at the first song.

  5. My interview with Eric is confirmed for this Tuesday afternoon. Let me know if you have questions for him. And yes, I will of course ask him about opening for Rush.
  6. You're gonna love his two albums, man!!!!
  7. Remember you'll be talking to the whole band, not just Alex. And hey, you can actually invite three other friends to join you on the call! I've always been your best friend, haven't I? :)
  8. Great hang with James today! I wore a Rush shirt for the interview, which he immediately picked on. We spoke about the Rush beer, a lot of details about his solo album, playing with his son, the Dream Theater tour, making peace with Mike Portnoy, and much more.
  9. For ONE THOUSAND dollars, you get an autographed vinyl and a 30 minute Zoom call with the band. If I had the extra cash I'd pay, just to talk to Alex.
  10. I have a chat with James Labrie scheduled for this Friday. Should be a good one!
  11. There you go...enjoy!!! https://www.sonicperspectives.com/interviews/interview-with-terry-brown/
  12. Eric was the last show I saw before covid shut everything up, and I have a special place for him in my heart, since I listened to his albums Venus Isle, Tones and Ah! Via Musicom A LOT when I was graduating from college. Now he has not one, but TWO albums in the bag, to be released on July 29th: The Book of Making and Yesterday Meets Today. I can't wait for it, and I hope I get a chance to interview him!
  13. So they won a Grammy tonight!!!! Well done, and John Petrucci was really emotional in his speech. Here he is receiving the award:
  14. I kinda figured he wouldn’t want to talk about DT. I have a feeling that this is the reason why he wanted to do an email interview, as opposed to a recorded one.
  15. He skipped the one about DT and the one about the Rush albums after his tenure...sorry to disappoint you, man. But the other responses were really great.
  16. I'll tell you the story about how I met Terry...it was totally unexpected! I was in Montreal with my family on the day that Cinema Strangiato was going to happen, and our flight back to Toronto was going to be at night, so I wouldn't be able to attend. My wife didn't want to wait for the flight, and said "you know what? If we get on a train now, we'll be back home mid-afternoon. I'll get us tickets". Off we went, and now I could attend Cinema Strangiato. I looked for tickets, and the session at Dundas Square was sold out. Luckily, another Rush fan reached out to me on Facebook and said "I have a ticket, but won't be able to make it. It's yours for free". I went there and met many friends at the event. On the way out, one of them said "man, you just missed Terry...he went down those stairs a second ago!". I rushed downstairs, and exited the theater. Luckily, he was outside chatting with a friend, who kindly volunteered to take our picture:
  17. He replied!!!!!! I'll post the link here once it's published.
  18. Leprous this coming Thursday. Can't wait!!!! I missed them in 2018, and now it's finally time to make up for it!!!!!
  19. He's nuts if he doesn't want to correspond with you! Your interviews are always so well done and thoughtful. (And of course I thought of another question today   But it wasn't an earth shaking one.) Wow, that's quite a compliment! Thank you! My first message to him was in 2019, and he agreed to record an interview but then disappeared. Only recently when I decided to follow up, he said he'd answer to the questions in writing. Let's hope he replies soon...
