  1. Greensboro is seriously the 68th largest city in the U.S.??? It can't even be Top 5 in NC.... Rush would've easily sold out if the show had been in Charlotte again. On the flipside, the G'bo Coliseum is a much cooler venue than Time Warner Cable Arena. Old & funky vs. faceless & corporate. Not sure if the guys really care one way or the other... But Springsteen, apparently, loves the venue. He gives some of his best U.S. performances in G'bo (according to Little Steven).....
  2. Not to be crazy anal, but I ship a decent amount of vinyl, so I basically put the album jacket inside a 12X12 vinyl mailer box (with cardboard for reinforcement) along with the Sharpie. That has postage on it with my address so they can just seal it up, drop it in the mail, and get it back to me. But all of that goes inside a slightly BIGGER box (13X13) and that's what is shipped to the venue. Along with a note explaining what it is! It just got accepted by the front desk at Greensboro yesterday... Fingers crossed. The vinyl mailer box for the return sounds good, but how do THEY seal it for you? I mean, they can just use normal packing tape, right? Or duct tape. There's like 45 roadies hanging around. SOMEONE has a roll of duct tape.

  4. Some nice tickets opening up right now. I snagged section A row 15, but there's also some good ones in Sec 109. It was dicey for a bit there but I'm going to RUSH!!!! Good luck to whoever's still looking!
  5. Am I imagining this, or was the address for the Greensboro Coliseum posted and then deleted? I could track it down myself but I was pleased to have an "official" address already confirmed on here....
  6. No strong feelings for the first three songs one way or the other. I guess I prefer One Little Victory, but either way. Between The Wheels might be my FAVORITE song from GUP, so that's a huge improvement. Love Red Barchetta, but Camera Eye is truly epic. I wish they kept both (my two faves from MP), but I'd say TCE is a small improvement. So reasonable minds can disagree! Either way, a set so strong I am now planning to go to Greensboro.... Despite vowing I would NOT attend this tour due to insane ticket prices. (Sidenote: Someone sell me an extra G'Bo ticket. Preferrably at a not-insane price.)
  7. http://www.redperspective.com/Images/GeddyMove.jpg I laughed. Also, I want one.
  8. But you got all that time back when they added an extra bit in "Presto." (The "Don't ask me, I'm just improvising" bit... repeated twice, in 2 different keys, BEFORE the guitar solo. Interesting change. I liked it.) --Rich
  9. Possibly the funniest thing I've ever seen at a Rush show (this was either RtB or CP tour) was Alex accidentally "triggering" a Geddy backup vocal at the wrong time. In the middle of an instrumental passage, a very clear "When We Are Young!" suddenly blasts from the speakers and Alex gets a sheepish look on his face..... (FYI I play solo shows with a drum machine AND a Boomerang looping pedal. Triggering tons of parts mid-song ain't easy!) --Rich
