  1. Hi! Not sure if this is allowed here, so please remove is not. I'm selling my Rush VHS Collection. I'd like to sell as a set. I have the following. Please let me know if there is any interest. Thanks!: Exit, Stage Left (Musicvision Release) Through the Camera Eye (Musicvision Release) Grace Under Pressure Tour (Musicvision Release) A Show of Hands Chronicles Neil Peart - A Work in Progress
  2. Posting because I don't know what else to do. He was an absolute hero of mine, and one of the reasons I picked up the sticks so long ago. Our heros are all going to pass eventually, but I was not ready for this. I'm not even sure what I feel. Stunned......
  3. Jason is an amazing bass player. It just sounds like this was rehearsed a few times and off they went. He's definitely got the chops to pull this off if they decided to dedicate a bunch of time to it. It just looks like they are having a good time and it was pretty loose.
  4. This is awesome. I've known about that clinic for years, and I'm glad some footage is finally released.
  5. Billy Sherwood. He's been playing bass for them for a couple of years now, and was in the band a while back. It's not like they don't have a bass player. While it would have been cool to see Geddy play with Yes, Billy is more than capable of playing all of Chris's parts. Bite your tongue! Ged is better. Where in my response did I even hint that Billy is better than Geddy? I was merely pointing that Yes does have a bassist, in response to the question of who will play bass for them at the ceremony. Infers Sherwood is better at playing the parts. Ged could readily and effectively play the parts. That doesn't infer anything. It quite literally states that "Billy is more than capable of playing all of Chris's parts". Period. Which is a true statement because he's a great bass player, and has been playing Chris's parts for a few years now. If I had said "Billy is more capable than Geddy" then, yes, that's an inference.

  8. That's the first thing I noticed on my first viewing as well! Very subtle, but it stood out to me, being a drummer I guess :)
  9. Jonathan was awesome, and maybe a tad "better" (such a subjective word) than Ben. But, the Ben performance was about more than just Ben vs. Jonathan. The Ben performance was the FIRST time we'd ever experienced and witnessed that song live. Also, he's the originator of those classic parts. As much as I thought Jonathan's actual performance was a bit better, I'm going with Ben because I still get chills watching the Toronto performance. But it's so insanely close I can't even vote on it :)
  10. I mentioned that to someone a while back about Geddy's playing this tour. He seems fierce. Really plucking those chords. Is that what you mean? I think he meant pushing out the notes vocally. He's pushing really hard, and honestly he needs to back off just a bit, or else he won't make it to the end of the show :)
  11. Oh boy, Geddy is in trouble tonight vocally. This is going to be tough.
  12. "This guy" was an incredible bass player, a forerunner in early classic prog, and a HUGE influence on Geddy's (and really the whole band's) playing. This is one of those rare times where I don't mind threads in the wrong place. :) RIP Chris...
  13. Jonathan crushed it. I bet that was a dream come true for him :)
  14. Roll The Bones from Boston. Alex nails the solo pretty good. Hits the first note :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GktSltP2Zg
  15. Hey everyone. Just back from the show. Sorry didn't get the chance to scope. Not great scope seats anyway. The show was insane. I'll have to watch some youtube vids to recall, but they were on fire tonight. Better than Toronto night 2 I think. No obvious mistakes that I could recall. So glad it was the "B" show. Was dying to see How It Is, Camera Eye, and The Wreckers. I'll post more in the morning when I'm coherent!
  16. ;) . Oh, please, no…just NO. Keep it up and I'll write a macro sending them 700,000 votes for them to play "you bet your life" every show ;) Am I the only one who seriously wants them to play this one? Yes :)
  17. Balconies 318 and 329 (both extreme ends of the stage) are now up for $92.50.
  18. Some pretty intense storms are coming through MA, and upper New England, today. I hope Neil is already in the Boston area. Could make for some pretty tough motorcycle commuting otherwise!
  19. Today is the day. My 23rd Rush show, and my first in 11 years. It has been too long! :)
