  1. Funny, on the Time Machine Tour my girlfriend mentioned how much a lot of the videos reminded her of the animated scenes from Monty Python (which Gilliam drew!)
  2. These guys just unexpectedly put out a new album at their show in Boston the other night. It's really good!
  3. The setlist is getting shorter... and Leon's getting LARRRRRRRRGGGGGGER! http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z35/royone_bucket/Airplane%20captures/johnny-leon3.jpg
  4. Wow, that program looks awesome!!!! I can't really justify spending $4 per isolated track of an album I already own 2 copies of, but the idea is really neat.
  5. These breaks are time off, they're not rehearsing new songs. If they switch any it'll be in the middle of of a string of shows, or in between the US & European legs.
  6. It's just under 2:30... down from 2:45 on Vapor Trails. I didn't go to the Test for Echo tour but I'm assuming it was about the same lenght. Are you guys really complaining that the set is 15 minutes shorter than it was over 15 years ago?
  7. Yeah, the background vocals are reallllllly grating and honestly, I just don't think the lyrics on this song are as good as the band thinks they are.
  8. Actually I think he said it in this video, but I don't feel like watching the whole thing again http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1itsBF2iRmA...player_embedded
  9. I thought it was Guitar Player but I just skimmed it and I can't find it
  10. pretty sure TSOR IS permanent now
  11. middletown dreams or body electric - middletown dreams the pass or bravado - tie but bravado is better as a live song wish them well or 7 cities of gold - 7 cities by a landslide. wish them well is down there with dog years for me and the only song i don't like on the new album dreamline or manhattan project - manhattan project
  12. He did just confirm in an interview that Headlong Flight and Carnies are tuned to an E chord like the original poster guessed.
  13. Your first guess was correct, it's not the band selling them, it's people who have won them or got them through some connection to the band, trying to make a quick buck.
  14. QUOTE (pfrushfan0122 @ Sep 2 2012, 07:57 AM) Has anybody tried the Wells Fargo Center in Philly for autographs? I would love to get either my CD signed or maybe even go out and get the vinyl copy! Should I contact public relations, marketing, or human resources at the venue? Or none of the above and its another section? (They have so many phone numbers...) Has anybody tried this? I am considering sending something prior to the show in October...
  15. I wouldn't go that far... the production on this album could definitely be better. Hell, just listen to the vinyl version compared to the cd and it's like night and day. And I say that as a longtime Mastodon fan (the rest of those bands you mentioned can go fly a kite as far as I'm concerned!)
  16. I have a couple people pulling strings trying to get me meet & greets for the Philly show. Probably won't happen but it's worth a shot. I know it's just "in and out, smile and get your picture taken, maybe a handshake" and I'm cool with that. You don't really get a chance to find out if they're assholes or not I don't think they are, I think they're really busy on show day and just don't have the time to sit around and party with a bunch of strangers before the show starts.
  17. QUOTE (RalphyS @ Sep 24 2012, 02:53 AM) Does this mean that 'Working Man' is dropped from both setlists ??? I was actually thinking of buying an extra concert ticket to hear both "Nights" but in that case you want as many changes as possible, so with the "Working Man/The Spirit of Radio"-change, there were 5, without it only 4 I hope so because it looks like Philly is getting the B setlist and I really don't need to hear Working Man again. It's good live but Spirit is much better.
  18. QUOTE Geddy mentioned in an interview once that sometimes the wrong programme gets loaded and samples for other songs come out.....and the fun begins. I THINK this happened during the R30 recording of Roll The Bones. You can hear what sounds like the opening synth to Tom Sawyer play over and over through the song.
  19. They are playing 3 of the top 20 songs picked on rushpetition this tour...
  20. The whole bootleg is called "A View from the Palace" and it should be pretty easy to find on torrent sites, but here are some youtubes: http://www.rushisaband.com/livevideos.php?subid=59
  21. The Weapon Emotion Detector Open Secrets
  22. QUOTE (Chicken hawk @ Sep 19 2012, 10:46 AM) QUOTE (Three Putt @ Sep 19 2012, 02:24 AM) Quite bummed that BU2B and 7 cities were not in the setlist. Instead we got Halo Effect, Wish Them Well and The Garden. To make it up the guys sounded great and Headlong Flight was by far my highlite. Concert overall was a 7/10 IMO. Bad flow. Yhey didnt play the Garden ? Im disappointed. No, they are playing the Garden every night.
  23. I'd love to see some ridiculous multicam fan bootleg like the 3 cam R30 show in NYC.
  24. QUOTE (Smug Monkey @ Sep 19 2012, 09:25 AM) QUOTE (dakota2112 @ Sep 19 2012, 08:50 AM)QUOTE (Howye @ Sep 19 2012, 07:56 AM) I have no idea if the section numbers are being moved around, or if the tickets for 102 really are directly to the side of the stage. I may be talking to somebody at the arena today, and if I can find out I will post it here. We had floor seats in 2010 but I specifically remember people with lower bowl tickets getting concerned about the sections changing. Please post any information you find out! I have section 103 tickets this time, and I did start getting concerned when section 102 opened up. So when this happened in 2010, did section 103 for example actually "move" along with the stage, so that the seats were still the same distance from the stage? If so, that's fine. But if the stage moves and my seats stay where they're at, I'd be getting screwed over. I just spoke with the box office at Nationwide. The lady told me that there were side sections opened up 10 days ago (102 & 116, I assume), but the stage will not be moved back. The setup on Ticketmaster is how the configuration will be laid out. Don't know if this is a fact but that is what I was told. Also, I asked about upgraded seats and was told they were available, but we would have to pay the difference. That is understandable, but I am still wondering how people get upgraded tickets at no extra cost... The direct number to Nationwide box office is 614-246-3033 if anyone wants to call. If you get a recording hang up and try again a few minutes later. I think the people who get upgraded for free just happen to be in the right place at the right time.
