  1. Aside from it being reversed that's the best looking starman tattoo I've seen, and I may actually print it out and take it whenever I work up the nerve to get mine. Maybe the actual photo is flipped?
  2. Very great album that I honestly haven't given a "break" since it came out - which doesn't mean I listen to it every day but it's got a permanent spot on my phone and whenever tracks come up on shuffle I listen to them. And actually I did dig the vinyl out last weekend and listen to it. I do agree with Chronos on the album petering out at the end... The Garden is a decent song on it's own but not the masterpiece everybody makes it out, and I honestly think if the album had ended at Headlong Flight it'd be one of their best.
  3. I think the headphones for that song are for the synth. The synth basically functions as a click track in that song so I don't know why they'd need one on top of it, but who knows.
  4. In one of his recent blog posts I think he mentioned how some of the samples start playing through his monitor a couple of measures before they actually kick in in the song, so he has a few seconds to adjust the tempo on the fly if he needs to.
  5. https://www.stubhub.com/rush-atlantic-city-trump-taj-mahal-11-5-2013-4227770/?ticket_id=492808262/ It pains me to have to do this, but I've been unemployed for the past couple of months! I'm starting a new job next week thankfully, but am a bit behind on some bills so I figure it couldn't hurt to see if anybody on here is interested. They're decent seats and I have them going for just about the cheapest that anybody is selling them for on stubhub. Section D, Row U, seats 7 & 8 I'm not a very active poster but I've been registered for a while, so I'm not just a new guy here looking to unload tickets. If you have any questions please PM me! Thanks!
  6. holy crap the AC tickets are more than double the price of any of the other shows. I guess I'm waiting for Hershey. I blame Trump :)
  7. Is this AC venue any good? I've never heard of it? Depending on the price of regular non VIP tickets I may go ahead and buy them or I may wait for the Hershey show.
  8. Geddy can barel sing the 3 lines of vocals in Temples, I wouldn't want to sit through 20 minutes of that and I'm sure he doesn't either. Be realistic people!@
  9. Depending on what company is doing the tickets you may be able to get them emailed to you and print them out yourself, too!
  10. I'd double check and make sure they'll accept an ID from another country though! It'd suck to get there and not have some idiot ticket taker not let you in because they yhink you have a fake id or something.
  11. I thought the intro was funny, missed the 2nd set intro and left after the encore. I can take or leave them but you guys are kidding yourselves if you think getting rid of the videos means they're gonna play more songs!

Tied for the best time I've seen them with the VT show at the Spectrum in Philly.
  13. Apparently there was a minor setlist change? They did the "B" setlist but played 7 Cities instead of Wish Them Well. (wish they did that in Philly!)
  14. It's always been one of my favorite albums of theirs, so not really
  15. Not as bad as the time I saw them in Camden, on Bastille Day and Geddy even wished the crowd a happy Bastille Day, and then they obviously didn't play the song.
  16. I thought I was getting sick yesterday but some Nyquil & a good nights sleep and I feel fine today! But I would have shown up wrapped up in a blanket if I had to. My fiance IS sick though but starting to feel better, she's sleeping right now and still planning on coming with me.

QUOTE (limbo @ Oct 10 2012, 12:39 PM) Just cleaned out my email and did not pay attention. I was wondering if any news has come about on who one the roadrunner records give away. I've been trying to contact you for weeks and finally gave up and gave it to somebody else! -Mr. R. Runner
  18. QUOTE (ReGorLaTroy @ Oct 8 2012, 05:30 PM) I'm not sure that it comes into their thinking when they select their set list. This too. No band is planning the setlist on their current tour based on what they're going to play on their next tour that may not even happen.
  19. Are the '97 remasters the ones that say "The Rush Remasters" or something like that along the edge of the cd case? If so I'm pretty sure I have the '97 remasters of AFTK, ATWAS & ESL and the rest of my cds are the original masters. I never noticed anything bad about the AFTK master, the other 2 don't sound so great but I just chalked it up to them being live albums.
  20. QUOTE (Don Quixote @ Oct 8 2012, 12:49 PM) QUOTE (LedRush @ Oct 5 2012, 12:48 PM) I think the explanation is simple - Geddy can't sing the 70s stuff anymore and he likes the 80s stuff more. I am looking through my CD pile and can't tell - which 80's albums are 2112 and Working Man on again? Nobody said "he can absolutely not sing a single song that was recorded before 1980." Also 2112 is tuned down (and he can still barely sing it) and Working Man got dropped from the set, so
  21. He can't sing the old stuff anymore. That's it! You guys are really overthinking this.
  22. I don't think anybody is going to argue with you that Maiden won't outsell Rush. They're more popular. Just about everywhere! I don't think changing the setlist or getting rid of the videos is gonna change that. Maiden just has more mass appeal. No big deal.
  23. On the Maiden topic, check the wikipedia page for the current tour, it has attendance figures for the US shows. Guess what? With a few exceptions, 9,000-12,000 people or so, about what Rush is drawing on this tour. The Maiden show that sold out 50,000 tickets is the first rock concert at a brand new stadium in a country full of metalheads! so it's not really a good comparison.
