  1. Guess I missed the advanced notice. It was exciting hearing it, and having the character mention them by name.
  2. My favorite crime show just had a guy listening to Closer To The Heart from Different Stages and yell out "this is the best bootleg Rush ever had!"
  3. I would think a song or two would be swapped. But if they didn't film any first leg shows, we would miss out on those for the dvd. So it will be interesting to see if the set remains the same.
  4. It was long after midnight When we got to unconditional love At the speed of love A radiance that travels At the speed of love My heart goes out to you.
  5. The MA Cashword lottery tickets have had these words on various tickets Limelight Lee Rush Pictures Bass

  7. In listening to some of the boots from this tour, his voice does not seem to be holding up as well in the latter shows. That is not to say it is bad, or for all songs, or for all shows. But the shows where the fans are basically low background noise, it is noticeable. I hate to admit it too, but hey, we all get older and I applaud the man for continuing to deliver the best he can every night for us.
  8. I've noticed his voice growing on the boots I have as the tour has progressed. One show on S&A I attended had his mike up really loud, but it was not good. I'm still scratching my head at why he lip synchs the word "Subdivisions".
  9. It was noticeable to me right away. I have read that the guys say they make changes they feel are improvements, even if it's leaving something out (the 'art as expression' verse and solo from Natural Science), or adding something in (the extra 'don't ask me' verse before the solo in Presto, the extra 'just between us' verse at the end of Entre Nous). This Camera Eye change doesn't save much time, but in a pre tour interview Alex said they had to find a way to make the song 'fresh' to them. And Ged has commented in the past on this song saying something along the lines of 'if it isn't doing it for you every night, why play it?'
  10. Though we live in trying times - We're the ones who have to try Though we know that time has wings - We're the ones who have to fly This song was played live for the first time on the current tour BISCTH AIBIL ATFEFM
  11. They had plenty at the Boston show. I grabbed one to have before they disappeared.
  12. I never knew this was done, and that the band actually signed these things! I think I'll send two items to Atlanta. I may send one of Neil's books separate, for him to sign. As for a band signature, I'm thinking something I would frame and hang, maybe my Permanent Waves album cover (with the headline intact). I dunno. In any event that would be really cool to get a personalized signature!
  13. That was an enjoyable rant / adlib. Ged was funny during that too. Biggest blunder at a Rush concert I have seen in person. But it turned out to be unforgettable and entertaining.
  14. When life becomes so barren And as cold as winter skies There's a beacon in the darkness In a distant pair of eyes From 1985 ISTMKBHAE LTCCTCOTB WAFTOHASA OPTTOWKAL
  15. I currently have Rush and All The World's A Stage on 8 track. I used to have a player on my early 80's record player/dual cassette/8 track cheapo stereo system. My uncle's second car had an 8 track player in it too.
  16. Fly By Night was played last week on a classic rock station in North Carolina while I was on vacation. Last night from 11:40 to 12:00 midnight on my way to work, WGIR in NH played a block of Rush: The Spirit of Radio, Closer To The Heart, 2112 Overture/Temples , and Tom Sawyer WHJY in Providence has been playing Caravan a good amount too, Heard it Friday morning and Saturday afternoon.
  17. Rivendell is right where it should be. Madrigal and How It Is would be higher, in my opinion.
  18. Delusions of grandeur Visions of splendour A manic depressive He walks in the rain This song was first played live on the Grace Under Pressure Tour. TSTASWTU IOIAI TSTISTD IOTABS
  19. Scars each emotional injury leaves behind its mark sometimes they come tumbling out like shadows in the dark The next answer may reverberate, if spoken into a canyon. HTWC WHTWIWTD HTWS WHTWISA
  20. I'd like a Gefilta shirt myself. Maybe I'll find one at the Gah-den show. (Boston. Hear my accent?)
  21. I did not know the songs before I went to the Mohegan Show. My take: SET 1 THE SPIRIT OF RADIO - Always thought an excellent opener. TIME STAND STILL - I'm good with this. Haven't heard this one live in a while. PRESTO - Illicited a WOW! out of me when it started at the Mohegan show. Nice, unexpected choice. STICK IT OUT - Haven't heard this since T4E, and it should have stayed that way. Booo-urns. WORKIN' THEM ANGELS - I like it and figured it would be in the set. LEAVE THAT THING ALONE - Good tune but would have thought MalNar would be here instead. FAITHLESS - Interesting choice for another never played before tune. Okay song. BU2B - I like it. FREE WILL - Knew it was coming, hoped it wasn't. would have had an older song in it's place. MARATHON - Excellent. Was hoping this came back....and it did! SUBDIVISIONS - Poor set closer, plus they nailed it on S&A, and would rather Chemistry or The Weapon (placed earlier in the set) in it's place. Was hoping Jacob's Ladder closed out the set. Surprised when they ran off at this point. SET 2 TOM SAWYER - See below RED BARCHETTA - See below YYZ - See below LIMELIGHT - See below CAMERA EYE - See below WITCH HUNT - See below VITAL SIGNS - MP was Well done, even if Camere Eye was slightly shortened. The inter-song animation was not up to par I felt, though. CARAVAN - assumed this would follow since they did 7 oldies in a row to start. Good song. LOVE 4 SALE - Is it me or is the 1st part on the electronic side underwhelming? A great job by Neil, but the punch just wasn't there. CLOSER TO THE HEART - Not since T4E, so not a bad choice. 2112 OVERTURE / TEMPLES - Okay but would rather In The End or Anthem FAR CRY - I love it, but not a set closer either. Very good set, feels like there's an oldie missing, something after FC to send us off roaring. Maybe it feels as such because MP was stacked at the top. ENCORE LA VILLA STRANGIATO - Glad it's back even sans rant. WORKING MAN - Not thrilled since it was done on VT, was hoping Cinderella Man was resurrected. Good closer though. There should be 3 songs, in my opinion. Seeing the guys live is awesome though, and while you're there, just enjoy whatever they trot out. It's not disappointing. Even Stick it Out, once it gets rolling.
  22. Never have and never will. Thus my sheer jaw-dropping excitment at moments like Entre Nous, Circumstances and yes, Presto.
  23. Every Rush show is a great show. They also comes it with "however"s from everone based on their likes. The Mohegan Sun show was awesome, however I would have liked Chemistry or The Weapon instead of Subdivisions Jacob's Ladder instead of Free Will Cut To The Chase instead of Stick It Out Cinderella Man instead of La Villa Strangiato. And In The End instead of Working Man, or in between LVS and WM. Thought we might get Bastille Day in there too. But what can you do, they give themselves so much time, which means only so many songs.
  24. You set your dvd timer to "time left" and pause the dvd when 21:12 remains. You wear Rush t-shirts in order of the tour they are from.
  25. Caress of Steel 4 words: Age well not ski far
