  1. QUOTE (cygnus_thegodofbalance @ Jun 19 2010, 02:09 PM) They're playing Vital Signs this tour. Like...holy shit! geat, great song. yet, as far as the b side of moving pictures goes, my least favorite track... youngins: "...B side of moving pictures "
  2. QUOTE (shaun3701 @ Jun 19 2010, 03:19 PM) VT was like the one tour they actually alternated some songs, and they didn't play Vital Signs when I saw them. I was so disappointed... but this should make up for it. what was the alternate to vital signs??
  3. QUOTE (liddybuck01 @ Jun 18 2010, 07:37 PM)Signals is my fave album, although i'm not fond of Countdown. would love to hear all of the songs! countdown is in everyone's top 5 all time rush songs fom '80-'84
  4. QUOTE (GrandDesigner @ Jun 18 2010, 10:08 AM)Unfortunately I think those two songs will forever remain in 1982. Losing It I could see them wanting to do (especially now), but obviously the violin plays way too important a part to just be relegated to a backing track. Chemistry is just too unimportant a song to play 30 years later. Yeah it's cool, but it's probably one of their most underwhelming songs of the 80's and probably hasn't ever been thought of since they dropped it mid-Signals tour. livin' 2 much in '82 like uncle rico!
  5. they tune down their guitar/bass to make it easier for ged to sing songs like circumstances and temples. it depends on if the song works or not when you tune down. they may try some older stuff tuned down and not feel 100% satisfied with how it ulimately sounds. zep did the same when they did their show in '07.
  6. QUOTE (Todem @ Jun 17 2010, 01:20 PM) QUOTE (hughes&kettner @ Jun 17 2010, 12:57 PM) none, even if they play roll the bones - i have minions who get beers for me plus, i use a catheter for big shows like this. Roll the Bones friggin rocks the house bro. That's right I said it. agree. but heard it too many times on tour, radio... rather hear roll the bones or bastille day??
  7. QUOTE (bigalfan @ Jun 15 2010, 04:38 PM)QUOTE (rushthroughtime @ Jun 14 2010, 08:31 PM) Hemispheres Anthem La Villa Straingato Jacobs Ladder Countdown You will be hearing JL, unless you are not planning to attend any concerts. I also think LVS is a strong possibilty. Great list, though. has jacob's ladder been "confirmed" or something? if so, i may need to bring a change of pants to the show...

Some may disagree, but the difference is truly night and day for me AND if for some reason you don't like the sound with the ear plugs in, simply take them out... BUT if you do not bring them, you can not use them to hear the difference for yourself... Enjoy the show! This is true. Your ears cannot even hear correctly at those high decibals for that length of time. That's not even mentioning the potential hearing damage. you'd have to be in a 8+ hour long rush concert to do permanent damage to your ears. ask an ENT or other dr. sure your ears get a bit of an ass-whoopin' but remember one of the bands ( ) biggest influences is brittains legendary spinal tap "...i just wanna make some ear drums bleed..." earplugs at a concert is like a blindfold at an art show...or at least really, really dark sunglasses, or a welding mask or something... maybe we should just have big matresses duct taped to the stage and house speakers! now that would be awesome!! Ooooh, to be young & naive again. Take it from someone who knows, it doesn't take much to permanently affect your hearing. I've tried to limit my exposure over the years, but still suffer from tinnitus. I used to scoff at the thought of wearing ear protection too. I used to think that you weren't "a hard core rocker" if you wore them... and now I pay the price for it. Trust me, $14.00 for a good pair of Hearos is the investment of a lifetime. The music models are designed to protect while enhancing the sound, and they truly do work. sorry about your tinnitus...but the MAJORITY of people will not have hearing loss or other issues without prolonged, continous exposure- not just a bunch of concerts, where your ears have time to recoup- but as i said 8+ hours...thats just a fact. try to do a little research on things before you add young and naive...smarty-pants cuz it really makes you the naive on, donnit??

  11. QUOTE (Bukaloo @ Jun 16 2010, 09:34 PM) Cool, thanks for the responses. Anything else I should be aware of as a first-timer? Do most people sing along or just air drum or what? Really looking forward to it! acording to a few folks around here...most people sit in their chairs, and this is the important part: arms folded- save little quiet golf claps- so as not to offend anyone.
  12. QUOTE (WIDE-ANGLE WATCHER @ Jun 17 2010, 12:27 AM)Spoiler Alert!!! Spoiler Alert!!! Milk can last no more than 28 days in the fridge. And RUSH kicks ass. what about organic milk?
  13. QUOTE (shaun3701 @ Jun 16 2010, 03:29 PM)QUOTE (snowdog2112 @ Jun 16 2010, 03:29 PM) The fact that so many people write "spolier" instead of "spoiler" drives me crazy. The fact that there's no actual spoiler just makes it worse. But, I agree with the sentiment. dyslexia or carelessness? dyslexia would be: reliops....or reilops

(dare I dream) Good luck doing that now in today's day and age, since it will probably never happen again. Just probably not? I'd say Cliff showing up would be a pretty big draw. OHH!!!! I see what you mean here. Sorry, I wasn't very clear with my post. I was referring to David Lee Roth as the "probably not", but I wasn't clear about that. Instead, it sorta seemed like I tied it in with Cliff Yeah, with Cliff, there is no "probably not" Well... unless you get really wasted at the show, then you might see Cliff play. I saw Cliff play.................. dig this- cliff!!!!!

But Wal bass does not = METAL!!! So no to that. yea, but what if they play chemistry or something that is not "metal"?

  24. i'm guessing al will use his new les pauls (from the snakes & >> tour) with a few others here and there, and that ged will use the jazz bass.. but i wanna hear the Rick!!!! and i like seeing/hearing al play his super-strats from the moving pictures- signals era... but those are probably in cases for good i do like the tone al gets from the new les pauls, more than the PRS tone he had since presto through R30...
