  1. It seems this thread has just become an excuse to trash Rush songs poeple don't like.
  2. QUOTE (circumstantial tree @ Jul 8 2008, 12:26 PM) 2112 ----> The priests, a man, and a guitar That's actually pretty awesome. My turn: Subdivisions -> Neil's first shot at vocals Leave that thing alone -> 21st century travelling music (I say this as a compliment, I love listening to this song while I'm travelling) Force Ten -> Tough Times (I thought that's what it was originally called) The majority of the Snakes and Arrows album -> Half baked song <insert number>
  3. Hold the Red Star proudly high in hand.
  4. QUOTE (CrimsonE @ Dec 15 2010, 03:02 AM) As was noted by several previous threads, the price of concert tickets for top tier acts, and even second tier acts has gone through the roof. Supply and demand has really taken over, whereas in previous years, the bands could hold down ticket prices. I'm sure part of it is due to the effective monopoly TicketMaster has over the concert industry, but a lot of it is due to the rising costs and the drying up of albums/CDs as true revenue streams for bands. Plus, its a way to reap some of the profits that used to go to scalpers. But unlike many of the so-called top tier acts, Rush is undoubtedly worth it. And if you're economical like me, you'll find ways to save money. Since I'm not a front row type of person anyway, I'll usually get the 2nd tier pricing at best (lower bowl or upper pavillion for the sheds). I refuse to pay arena/shed prices for food, so I'll eat a good meal beforehand, and then sneak in a snack or two for the show. I also rarely buy concert T-shirts at the venue anymore, as those are always overpriced. In fact, I think the last Rush short I got at the show was for the T4E tour. Even with Rush, I'm not sure how much they're charging elsewhere but in Montreal they're still not charging the same as "top tier" acts. The best seats in the house (after the 320$ VIP package) are 150$. That's crazy cheap compared to the 300-400$ other artists charge for great seats (like Bon Jovi or Celine Dion). The worst part is that their acts aren't as long and don't have anywhere near the quality the Time Machine Tour does. So as long as the quality stays the same, I'm always going to line up for a great Rush ticket unless they pass by again for the Time Machine tour, I won't pay big money to see the same show for a third time.
  5. Come and join the Brotherhood, Of man.
  6. I can't find the article anywhere, but I remember reading on IGN.com that Catwoman might be making an appearance and that the Riddler would NOT be in the movie. If I find the articlle I'll post it.
  7. This thread is awesome. Here are some I came up with: EDIT: Resized the pictures so they aren't huge. EDIT 2: only one seems to be appearing. Here are the links to the 2 pics. Pic 1: Someone is watching Alex. http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/7141/93211569.jpg Pic 2: ALL HAIL GEDDY! http://img140.imageshack.us/img140/5047/53214488.jpg
  8. I thought the setlist was near perfect. I think Faithless needs to be swapped out with something from Vapor Trails (hopefully the title track) and the raggae intro from the two encore songs.......I seriously hated that version of working man.
  9. While I was kinda sad they didn't have the lasers for 2112, that spider-type light fixture blew me away. It was just an amazing light show. The only problem I saw was that the smoke machine inside the time machine wouldn't stop at the ACC at it looked like 1/4 of the stage was missing.
  10. Meh, I think they're playing the best song off of the album. Presto is great live.
  11. Current: 3 years, one concert (missed the snakes and arrows tour by 1 month), it will be 2 concerts in April. So for now: 3 In April: 1.5
  12. Ok, so I came accross 2 sets of tickets: Section 124 Row E Section 103 Row B The problem with the section 103 tickets is that I found out that they have a "partially obstructed view" AFTER I bought them. How badly obstructed would these be? How much would I be able to get for the tickets when I sell them?
  13. I found tickets to be very reasonable. Montreal tickets are 100$ for reds, VIP were 300 but almost every other seat was AT MOST 160$ CAD.
  14. I'd pay 175$ tops for seats neat the stage, preferably not on the floor.
  15. How do we know which variation they're going to play? I love the base setlist without the changes...I would hate the alternate one tbh.
  16. You can see it if you log in. I think Neil's Kit is going to look epic with the symbols on the toms.
