  1. Hi Folks~ I have two tix for the Oct. 14th show at the ACC. Section 103, row 11. You pay what I paid, $320 all in for both. Need to unload them this afternoon - located in Burlington, ON area. Thanks, Sphere
  2. I need a Red Rocks show in 2011 - got an invite to hang with the boys when I was at the show in Tampa - no good if they don't play there, though!
  3. Good post, shabadoo! I was four rows behind you through all that. As with you, this is the most time I spent looking at Big Al, and he was at his peak that night. Usually my eyes are glued on Neil but Lerxst stole the show. I talked to them both before the show and Alex was the consummate gentleman, as always. He mouthed my name when he caught sight of me from the stage at the start of the show, and I thought that was pretty cool/ nice of him. I also agree it's my least favorite drum solo ever, but hearing it a second time (I saw the Toronto ACC show as well) I enjoyed it a bit more. Still hoping someone up front has some shots of the crowd in our area - would love to have a memento of this!
  4. I was there, Orchestra 2, row F, a little to Alex's side. (Saw you a couple of rows ahead of me, Rushgirl!). Awesome show! I was sitting a couple seats from John Cook and Mark Calcavecchia! Would love to see some crowd photos for a memento!
  5. All booked in - staying at the Hyatt Regency Downtown. It looks like that makes Four Green Fields a sure thing - thanks Faithless Mover.
  6. 36 years, 17 concerts which, interestingly enough, when rounded to three decimal places gives a factor of 2.112!! Still, this should be weighted in some fashion that gives us old timers an edge!
  7. 1 Working Man 2 By-Tor & The Snow Dog 3 Bastille Day 4 2112 Suite 5 Xanadu 6 La Villa Strangiato 7 Natural Science 8 YYZ 9 The Analog Kid 10 The Enemy Within 11 Mystic Rhythms 12 Prime Mover 13 Show Don't Tell 14 Roll The Bones 15 Double Agent 16 Resist 17 One Little Victory 18 Workin' Them Angels 19 Caravan
  8. Thanks again, all. This is great stuff, appreciate the work you put into it.
  9. That's what I'm talking about! Thanks ENA - I'll check it out!
  10. Sorry about your luck, D3strukt. I know there are still grass seats available for $85 if you come into it in a poker game...any suggestions for things to do while in Tampa?
  11. My experience with P/G is a little bit different. When it came out I just loved it and I think that had an extra little fervour to it because I was so disappointed in Signals after MP. I didn't like the sound quality of Signals and I wasn't too sure about the song stylings, either. A lot of people at the time criticized P/G for being "dark" but that didn't bother me. So, that's the way it stayed for over 20 years and then, recently, I went on a listening binge through the whole catalog and found there were a few great songs on P/G but that I wasn't as enamoured with it as I was originally. Conversely, Signals has grown on me over the years and might even have edged out P/G in my estimation - I like both better than Power Windows, though... Highlights: Red Sector A, The Enemy Within, Between the Wheels, Kid Gloves
  12. Hi Folks~ Just found out I am going to Tampa for the show on October 1st. Coming from S. Ontario, Canada and have never been to your fine city. Just wondering what other things we should take in while there, sights, restaurants, clubs, etc. "Facts show 5 out of 4 people don't understand fractions"
  13. Hi all - I'm back after an extended absence...I saw the show in Toronto at the ACC and just found out I am going to the show in Tampa. Just wondering if there has been any change(s) in the set list since July?
  14. At the ACC I thought I noticed a half-blackened fingernail in the process of healing. Maybe he just bashed it at some point and it's on the mend now.
  15. I think it would be natural that when a band plans a set list with two parts they would intend that the second part might be "better' (whatever that means) than the first. It would be awful if the energy level, crowd satisfaction, etc. waned as the show went on. As for sucking, when will people realize that all these things are a matter of opinion - not to be confused with fact. In my opinion, for example, if the set list contained the alternative songs the OP mentioned, I would feel that it sucked , but...who gives a crap about my opinion and it's only people with an over-inflated ego that could imagine that anyone cares about their opinion!

  18. Pants distorted in the flickering light, The pants are twisted and grotesque. Silent and stern in the sweltering pants The pants move like demons possesed. Quiet in conscience, calm in their pants, Confident their pants are best.
