  1. Tour of the Hemispheres, Nashville - Molly Hatchet opened. Now THAT kicked ass.
  2. 1. A Farewell To Kings 2. Jacob's Ladder 3. Losing It Likelihood of any of these? Well, maybe Jacob's Ladder...lotta Ladder chatter about that the past few years. But even though I realize they play amphitheaters mostly, and it's not completely dark when they start, I still think the ultimate moment would be if they OPEN WITH XANADU. That would be killer.
  3. QUOTE (TheBluePhoenix @ Dec 7 2010, 01:02 PM)I just realized that there is no mention of whether or not parking is included. Does anyone know what the parking situation is at this venue? You have parking lots very close to the place. The actual venue has a parking deck but I don't know the cost on that. But plenty of places within a couple of blocks, don't pay more than 10 bucks. You may even get $5.

  5. Ok well I decided to go with the package and I got 11th row center. Hell, why not, right? A lot closer than when I saw them on the Hemispheres tour, but heck, that was SEVEN DOLLARS! See you up front!
  6. I noticed there is supposedly a presale for Nashville in 10 minutes, yet I never got a code in my email... Anyone know anything?
  7. QUOTE (tick @ Nov 30 2010, 09:21 AM)You will get the same show as last year. You can take that to the band. I would imagine. However if they want to break out Entre Nous or Circumstances again that would be fine by me...
  8. Finally returning to Nashville!! Right where I interviewed Geddy for VH1 Classic at the kickoff of their R30 Tour! Sweeeeet...
  9. QUOTE (GernTheFish @ Jul 30 2010, 12:38 PM)I'm bringing my 2 teenage boys (14 and 16) to the show in Bristow for a guys night out. They've both seen Rush once before. Who knows, maybe Rush will still be touring when I'm a grandfather and I can bring all 3 generations to a show. Yeah, and hopefully they'll play I Think I'm Going Bald for us all...
  10. I will be bringing my daughter, 16, and my son, 13, to their first Rush show this year, Atlanta. I can't wait--especially to get their reactions...(they've been diggin' on Rush with me for a few years now...) Their only other rock show of major note was Cheap Trick at the Ryman in Nashville, that did them well. Good question!
  11. So where are we? What's the story on the setlist rumours?
  12. Analog guy, you're right, Cinderella Man would be nice. Ain't gonna happen
  13. Hemispheres Anthem La Villa Straingato Jacobs Ladder Countdown
  14. QUOTE (mazyyz @ May 25 2010, 09:44 PM)QUOTE (bscsmkr @ May 25 2010, 10:40 PM) There will be only 3 S&A songs played. They could add 1 more if they choose. They went into rehearsals with a pretty clear outline of what they wanted, but they also had alternatives in case the rarities did not work out. Everyone's sources are suspect. Working Man will not be played. Neither will One Little Victory. Thanks Geddy.
  15. Oh, and my other opinions are: This makes perfect sense on how they would break up Moving Pictures between sets. Its genius. I believe it. I always imagined the second set would open with The Camera Eye. Finally, if they indeed play those last five songs of the second set as posted here, there is a chance I could die. So, if you hear of cardiac arrest at the Atlanta show, it probably happened near the end of Jacobs Ladder. ps thanks for posting this.
  16. These threads can be fun to follow, yet also a bit frustrating. However my opinion is that I can certainly imagine them opening with 2112 (it was my second guess) whether its dark or not. Let's face it--some songs will see the light of day (!). My second opinion is that I don't see why they wouldn't possibly play all or some of 'Fly By Night.' It is a radio staple for most AOR markets. Third, that setlist posted at the head of this thread seems like a dream. A very wonderful dream.
  17. QUOTE (snowdog2112 @ May 23 2010, 07:53 PM)QUOTE I'm Still going with 2112/Overture! This would be a great start! Followed by Freewill! I don't understand why anyone would be excited to hear stuff like 2112 or Xanadu at 7:00 in bright daylight while a third of the crowd is still trying to find their seats. That would royally suck. Although I much preferred when they played indoors, even the outdoor shows would be a lot better if they started an hour or so later. Most people don't get home until midnight anyway, what difference would it make to be another hour later? I just think having a huge part of the show (most of the first set) in daylight really detracts from the energy of the whole thing. It feels less like an intense musical event and more like some July 4th concert at the park. I sure am glad I got to see them indoors in 2008 again in Austin. I completely understand that things have changed but it's just not as exciting as when the lights would go totally dark indoors right as the show started and it was generally much louder in most cases too. Oh well, I'm just getting old. Very good point. However, it wouldn't suck for me personally to have them open with Xanadu. Again, once the lights are up and they start into that mesmerizing opening sound, you become too absorbed to realize its not pitch black outside. That's what happened when Yes opened with Close To The Edge. Its a helluva ride.
  18. When I noticed the price jump my first inclination was to think they are going to be offering an extra special live show...you know, maybe the extra $$ are going toward some great production values. That's my guess...
  19. Merely Space, you make a very good point...but still... The other thought for me would revert to it being 2112.
  20. Here is my prediction, and its based on seeing every Rush tour since Hemispheres. I think they should, and will, open this tour with XANADU. When Yes opened the Masterworks tour with Close To The Edge it really brought down the house, a masterful way to immediately mesmerize an audience. Imagine it if you will, my friends...
