If you had this choice, this new tour or MP 1981???
WIDE-ANGLE WATCHER replied to nicky6's topic in R40 Tour Forum
Back for the MP Tour I spent the night outside the local record store, The Wherehouse I believe, and bought 10 tickets. I got 9th row, 10 seats in a row. Myself and nine friends had the time of our lives (the magic mushrooms may have helped)....We were teenagers, all in a Rush nerd group. Seeing The Camera Eye was an 'out of body experience'...we were young and alive and on top of the world. You can never take that day away.... If I could live it all again... -
I can see them adding one of two songs in Toronto and LA, without any substitutions. The Toronto additions would be for filming purposes while the Los Angeles extras would be for personal reasons.

So if the A-B-C rotation plays out consistent....Toronto gets B and C.... Which contain all songs except Red Barchetta. -

You either get Red Barchetta or Camera Eye or YYZ/Natural Science That's a tough call. -

Forgive my confusion.... I am still trying to figure out the set list rotations. Is this correct for these sets?...As far as we currently know. Set A: Clockwork Angels One Little Victory Distant Early Warning Red Barchetta Set B: The Wreckers How It Is Between The Wheels The Camera Eye Set C: Clockwork Angels One Little Victory Distant Early Warning YYZ Natural Science Tonight could confirm if Natural Science stays as an extra song. We don't know what the future holds but are these set variations correct? -
I agree... One man likes a song...and another doesn't. What's the problem with that. I wonder if on the onion forums, the red onion lovers complain about the white onion lovers? Another interesting thing, is the persistence of some Rush fans to repeatedly express the disliked aspects of a band they like. I understand that to debate, discuss and critique are viable parts of a forum...but one would think the positives would and should outweigh and outplay the negatives.

I like the pic of Alex and Geddy toasting a mug of beer... I'll bet they've done a similar pose at 16 yrs old, at 20, at 30, at 40, at 50... And will continue toasting each other at 70, at 80 and beyond. A true life long friendship that has been the driving force behind the 40+ years of Rush. -
Something crazy I noticed about the setlist
WIDE-ANGLE WATCHER replied to Carrystress's topic in R40 Tour Forum
I'm guessing we'll get the B.1.? setlist (How It Is, Between the Wheels,The Camera Eye), with Big Money and Losing It being saved for the TO and LA shows. Just my guess...which I haven't gotten correct yet. I'm sure Rush has enjoyed staying one step ahead of the 'set prediction fans'. -

Most anyone's vocals are going to be hit and miss at 60+ years old, especially when singing multiple range high intensity rock-n-roll. With that said, he still can nail some of the older stuff. The vocals are really only 1/7 of the total package... Percussion, lead guitar, bass guitar, keys, lyrics, vocals and visual production. We are so used to such a high level of musicianship for such a long time...every one of Neil's fills and Alex's solos are being scrutinized just as much as Geddy's vocals. I believe Rush is doing quite well in all categories including the hardest one...vocals.

If they play In The End as the final song in Los Angeles... There will still be fans on this forum debating if... This is it. If Neil stands up at the end of the show and says "I am done" There will still be fans on this forum debating if... This is it.
