Being a Keyboardist, this was the first album I ever purchased by Rush because of Subdivisions, and the Love just grew and grew. like most Rush fans I started looking backwards, buying Moving Pictures, Permanent Waves and by the time I got to Hemispheres I was a full fledged RUSH Fan. Hemispheres just blew me away! Anyway I saw Rush in concert for the 1st time during the Signals tour and loved every moment, Specially Countdown! However, I and was very disappointed they didn't play Losing It which would become my favorite Rush Song of all time! Time went by, then Grace Under Pressure came out and I can say I pretty much learned every song off that album which had keyboards the rest is history. I'm very happy I finally Got to see Losing It played live at least in Video. God I miss these guys!

Two Words: Rap Song!

Presto. It has more good songs and nothing quite as bad as Heresy.
I don't know I think Superconductor and Scars are worse than that.
Scars in particular is bad but not as awful as Heresy for me.
Scars makes me think that they were smoking something really bad that week in the studio. :smoke:
Not Neil Pat. Are you serious? Neil's drumming is fuckking incredible on that song. "Presto" album destroys "Roll The Bones." "Face Up" Ass down Pat!
I always thought the drums on Scars sounded programmed, but never looked into it. Neil at his most atomically metronomic!
yeah that just shows how good Neil is ! :Neil:

It's close. I actually quite enjoy both albums. I'd give the edge to Roll the Bones for a more consistent showing.
By track:
Presto (GPA 2.25)
Show Don't Tell: B-
Chain Lightning: B
The Pass: A
War Paint: F
Scars: D
Presto: C-
Superconductor: B-
Anagram: B
Red Tide: C+
Hand Over Fist: C
Available Light: C+
Roll the Bones (GPA 2.51)
Dreamline: B+
Bravado: A-
Roll the Bones: B+
Face Up: D
Where's My Thing: C+
The Big Wheel: B-
Heresy: B+
Ghost of a Chance: B-
Neurotica: C-
You Bet Your Life: D+
I don't know? I couldn't bring these grades home to Mom! So they are both "C" to "C-" albums. Not good!

I don't disagree with that breakdown, but I still prefer Presto as an album...which strikes me as weird.Roll the Bones;
Dreamline > Show Don't Tell
Bravado > Chain lighting
Roll the Bones < The Pass
Face Up < War Paint
Where's my thing? > Scars
The Big Wheel < Superconductor
Heresey > Anagram (for Mongo)
Ghost of a Chance > Red Tide
Neurotica > Hand over First
You bet your Life < Available Light
So Roll the Bones wins out 6 to 4
And that's the way I see it!
I think it may be the Sound/ Mixing of the Album. I think Presto Sounds better.... I think?

Nah, I think Rush's most Awkward Era was during Vapor Trials and it showed in the writing. Or at least in the recording of it. The the remix was so much better,
-
Honestly, I've been really Jonesing for some RUSH right about now, So this documentary (even though its a cash grab) is exactly what I need, I'll take anything at this point. Hell I watched " I Love you man" with my son the other day cause I needed a fix!

Alex's solo is the best part of this song.
-
Roll the Bones;
Dreamline > Show Don't Tell
Bravado > Chain lighting
Roll the Bones < The Pass
Face Up < War Paint
Where's my thing? > Scars
The Big Wheel < Superconductor
Heresey > Anagram (for Mongo)
Ghost of a Chance > Red Tide
Neurotica > Hand over First

I'm telling you guys its there. it very subtle and happens very quickly but it's there. First I saw half the circle/ star carved into the cement floor. and i started thinking." man that looks like the 2112 star". then boom Spider man fell right on to it just like the emblem. it was very zoomed in and soon started breaking up right after, i think it was the part where all the Drones were first attacking him. All i know is that there's a Rush fan somewhere in the CGI room that pulled this off. or who knows many its Jon Favreau himself. hey Star Wars Fans and Rush fans walk hand in hand! as my Avatar suggest!
