  1. My car finally decided to torture me. My battery is nering death (will need to be replaced soon) and now a flat tire... and there's nothing I can do about it today (for various reasons) right before the Rush concert tomorrow....
  2. For the start of Meteorological fall it feels like mid July. 89F right now, hazy hot and humid. and tomorrow, for all the Rush fans coming to my neck of the woods 91F, hazy, hot and humid, with a slight chance (20%) of a thunderstorm (seems to come and go from the forecast). Though on the blacktop of the Fair, it will feel hotter. But on Saturday, it will be almost 30F less, high of 65F, with a 40% chance of rain...oh and we're keeping an eye on Hurricane Earl (though it shouldn't affect us much) Happy Fall!
  3. The Spirit of Radio on TK99 (classic rock station, 99.5FM from where I am, though they have different frequencies for various locations) I've only heard the main staples on there (Tom Sawyer, Limelight, The Spirit of Radio and Freewill...nothing else, though they do have New World Man in their library, but it only plays when they go through it all) If you want Rush on the radio, do NOT come to Central New York. considering that they're be here in less than a week, I expected more (then again, they didn't do much Aerosmith, Blue Oyster Cult, Kansas of Styx so...all of them are playing, or already played at the Fair this year)
  4. When people found out that I was going to a Rush concert solo the first comment was how weird it was (from almost everyone). Especially since they're coming here early next month.
  5. A comfortable 70F (forecasted high in the mid 70s) and partly cloudy About time we had a nice day. Not hot, muggy, rainy or snowy (never know, it could snow at any time here) Tomorrow is supposed to be the same
  6. hazy, hot, humid, with a chance of thunderstorms....booo A humid 91F with partly cloudy skies and a chance of isolated Thunderstorms. Tomorrow, 87F same as today (better chance of storms) but then Friday and Saturday High 77F with low humidity. after that it's a crapshoot, but the trend is about the same as it's been. normal with a couple hot days and a few days a bit lower than normal high with storms possible a few days. Hehe, some forecast. and now a humid 75F and it's so hazy I can't tell if there's clouds up there or if it's so moist that the sky takes on a blueish white tone.
  7. I can't seem to care either way. either that housewives show or that Jersey Shore show. Those shows used to annoy me, but I kind of stopped caring about them. If you watch them, fine if not...ok. I think I got fed up to a point where the bubble burst and there's nothing there. which kind of annoys me since I have nothing to add to this topic (but I post anyway, go figure). but then again, I live under a rock when it comes to these things. I didn't even know that this show existed, though I knew of Jersey Shore. It's a comfortable rock, a bit too comfortable. Also are people really interested in the show, or are they just watching for the novelty of it (for lack of a better term)?
  8. for some reason my left shoulder felt like someone popped it out today.
  9. QUOTE (WCFIELDS @ Jul 31 2010, 11:52 AM)QUOTE (Rush Cocky @ Jul 29 2010, 03:26 PM) QUOTE (nobodys hero @ Jul 28 2010, 12:51 AM) They are taping this tour Taping? yeah they are going back to taping for this one.......it is the Time Machine tour, remember? they should do reel-to-reel
  10. QUOTE (ReRushed @ Jul 21 2010, 07:23 PM) Rush Mix Tape I remember naming a CD "Fry's all Rush mixtape" Tom Sawyer was track 9. The new ones have been good as well. So far I like them better than the movies. hehe, that gets me every time wahh *waka waka* wahh
  11. I'm growing to really like them. Taking a while (I'm up to Vitalogy, which is fantastic)
  12. I'm not entirely sure what I just read. I'll come back in another 2 years and try again.
  13. nothing yet, but I'm not concerned. I do admit to eagerly checking to see if it's here, but that's about it.
  14. After weeks of hot, we are now back to cloudy cool Syracuse. well, maybe not so cloudy, it's been unusually sunny lately (except this past weekend) ...nice while it lasted. If it's going to be like last year then we will have a warm Spring followed by a cool Summer. I'm still wearing shorts though. oh, the numbers... today,'s forecasted high is 69F, and partly cloudy, with temps slowly climbing through the week to 82F by the weekend. Kind of like my vacation back in May, where it snowed the first day....Syracuse, where snow can happen any time except July, which if I remember correctly (I probably don't) is the only month without any recorded snow.
  15. Finding My Way seems like it would fit best with the Time Machine theme. being the first song on the first album and all (and one of the best from said album)
  16. wait...the album title included the .com learn something new every day
  17. Permanent Waves. I did waver a bit between Permanent Waves and Grace Under Pressure, but it's solidly Permanent Waves now.
  18. I would prefer Middletown Dreams, but I'd slike to hear for Marathon as well.
  19. all of it. but if I absolutely had to choose it would be Kid Gloves.
  20. Here in sunny Syracuse, NY (it's not often I get to say that) Hot, continued hot until it cools a bit later this week, then hot for a couple days until it cools again. With some storms scattered about. (I sound like the Weather Channel) It's a muggy 66F (18.8C), with a forecasted high of an also muggy 86F (31.6C) (80F is hot for me). Not so windy, haven't had much wind for quite some time. Chance of some severe thunderstorms today (the SPC has us at a slight risk 2% tornado, 30% hail, 30% wind) Though it will start getting slightly cooler and less humid as the weekend comes. oh and the average high for this time of year is 72F (22C). The average high in the height of summer is 82F (27.7C), so it's been very hot. It's been hot and sunny all week. Yesterdays official high was 90F (32C), though I got a 92F as a high. On a side note, my vacation that was a couple weeks ago, it snowed on the first day.
  21. Well if the song is true there won't be any guitars in the year 2112. It would be kind of hard to do a concert without one. So I doubt it will reflect the year 2112, unless they come out in sparkly red jumpsuits, and mime everything. Oh and there wouldn't be any cars around. I think next Sunday AD is about as far as they will go. Why do all future visions include sparkly jumpsuits (or some sort of spandex)?
  22. QUOTE (iluvgeddy05 @ May 25 2010, 06:49 PM)QUOTE (dethroned emperor @ May 25 2010, 06:38 PM) well thanks to this thread im now going to 2 shows this tour, just got tickets in sect. 2 hopefully theyre good seats never been there before. All seats at SPAC are good. Serious! It's the only venue I would think of driving 3+ hour to get to when they are coming to my town anyways. Many others would agree. I guess I agree by default. though I've never been there. though I'm glad to hear that the seats are good there. Really, Ticketmaster has found new ways to annoy and rip people off. I would be really angry if I wasn't in awe of the fact that they get away with it.
