  1. OK I'm having trouble posting this video as a direct link, where as one can just click on the video play button and hear it. How do I post it like others have done here?
  2. Lately this song has been floating in my head since I first heard it earlier this year. Love the way it starts out then comes the heavy crunch the guitars later in the song. IF Only it were two minutes longer this song would be perfect..... Conquer Or Die...MEGADETH
  3. I haven't been into Metallica for a long time. However, a few weeks ago was the anniversary for AJFA and started listening to them again. Loved my favorites from the album Eye Of the Beholder, Harvester Of Sorrow and Frayed Ends. Heard this new track and must say I like this one even more that the first release from the new album. The new album looks promising to say the least.
  4. So what is AXS TV is that station in Canada?
  5. I would agree with this just cross out AFTK and insert Grace Under Pressure on any given day.
  6. what, like two lousy actors ? Two lousy actors?!? C'mon Lucas...dudes were epic Well I gather he has to be joking........maybe he's never seen Cool Hand Luke.
  7. 1. Working Man 2. Beneath, Between & Behind 3. LAKESIDE PARK 4. 2112 5. XANADU 6. LA VILLA STRANGIATO 7. THE SPIRIT OF RADIO....one doesn't get better lyrics than this 8. THE CAMERA EYE 9. The Weapon 10. RED SECTOR A 11. Mystic Rhythms....grrrrrr really tough call love Marathon, Territories and a bunch more 12. Time Stand Still 13. The Pass 14. Roll The Bones 15. Cut To The Chase 16. Test For Echo 17. EARTHSHINE....Love this this little rocker 18. Far Cry 19. HEADLONG FLIGHT....grrrrr another tough call love The Garden but a trip last year I played HF really loud and that song just really rocks. Caps a few of my all time favorites to listen to.
  8. R40 for me was by far the best tour and show I've EVAH seen of the 50 concerts I've been lucky to see over the years. Can't everyone see by now that was it as far as touring....it doesn't get any better than R40, that tour can't be topped. Please let it go fans we will only get more grey hairs bitching, moaning and wishing they get on the road again. Now what I would wish for would be new material for an album or something different such as an instrumental album ex: Joe Satriani. Now that would be MORE realistic than RUSH ever getting back on the road. I don't know if I could handle another tour, I couldn't handle the 5 hour drive back here to West Palm Beach.....the whole event was far too emotional for me.
  9. Yep! Pure is a great word to describe it. Vibe is intense and Hetfield is snarling. Hopefully they put as much passion as Megadeth did with Dystopia There was absolutely no need to stretch this song out.....the better decision was to keep it short and sweet with those lyrics. Good song it will be interesting where it will be placed on the album with the other songs.....it could really stand out then. Nov 18 is the release date I want to stack it up against Dystopia or if this new album can stand on its own.
  10. The Body Electric? ALL OF THE ABOVE! Especially RSA....Then maybe Limelight, A Passage To Bangkok, TSOR. Then I'll sing in my head La Villa Strangiato
  11. What's this picture all about? He looks distraught.
  12. On a trip from Palm Beach FL to Wilmington NC a 11 hour drive last year I took ALL the RUSH albums including the live ones, I listened CA and for the first time it hit me how great an album it really is. I played it about 60 miles from my destination and with increased volume I picked up speed through the song Headlong Flight. I almost flew into a speed trap set up while approaching Wilmington but I wasn't stopped. If that's their last album it's certainly moved up on the RUSH album list....it's fantastic.
  13. Posted 07 June 2013 - 05:28 PM For me 48 since 1984 Grace Under Pressure Tour of which I saw 3 times. It could be 47 cause my memory these days is getting real bad.....I've found stubs where I can't recall ever going to that show or state. My average for each tour around 5-6. VT was the most for a tour 8.....CA Tour so far 5 in 3 states. Only one other band I've seen more times probably twice my RUSH total and the only one traveled outside of this country to see multiple times. Well my total ended up being 50 on the nose. I had planned for 3 dates on the R40 Tour but only the one in Tampa.....Atlanta and the finally in Bristow, VA with my daughter's first RUSH show. However a serious health issue came up with my daughter that I had to cancel those two shows to deal with her health concerns. She's 20 now studying at UMD College Park how I wished she would have seen that show.....it would have been as big an impact as my father taking me to a World Test Cricket match where I got to see Sir Garfield Sobers play for West Indies vs India.
  14. ^^^^Also as the band's fans grew older one of the most brilliant decision the band made was having that intermission during their shows. First.....it allowed fans to take that much needed bathroom break Second.....it then allowed more fans to get MORE beer and time to chat about RUSH Third......most importantly it allowed for fans to BUY MERCHANDISE. So their just was no momentum for ANY thoughts of a mosh pit besides it just takes up way too much energy for us aging fans.
  15. I felt this way long ago about RUSH not being in the HOF, they're JUST TOO GOOD to be in there. I've been to the HOF in Cleveland several times years ago and just about the only thing that got me excited was a music fan's collection of drumsticks. I think he had over 600 and of course Neil's was in there signed and at that time there was not much else in there that pertained to RUSH. Also I didn't want to see RUSH on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine either. I figured if they haven't been on the cover by now please don't put them on there now.
  16. He's too cool, I'll miss this trio and what they've done for rock music. BTW, love that picture of you and your daughter on the Rio beach. All the best for your Rio Olympics.
  17. I've seen the band every tour since GUP (except Counterparts, softball conflict) and I've never seen anything close to a mosh pit. In fact I would've love to have seen one, most of the shows including my first at the Hampton Coliseum in VA, which was general admission. The fans just stood and stared in zombied amazement in how well the band played. Hardly any reaction, not me I so energized seeing them for the first time. I think somebody opened for them and after buying a tour shirt (white one) some drunk fool snatched it. I chased him, tackled him and gave him a short pounding. I got my shirt back but it was in shreds. I don't remember if I ever wore that shirt or not, that was about the most extracurricular activity of any of the 50 shows I've seen of RUSH.
  18. Missing out on my first concert in 1973.....a festival that featured James Brown and headlined by Sly & The Family Stone a riot broke out that summer and the show was cancelled. RUSH the MP & The Signals Tour which I believe both came near by to Hampton Coliseum, Hampton VA. Counterparts tour Capital Centre MD my A League softball team opening night I had two 5 row tickets. We were the defending league and Snowball tourney champs. Sadly I had to be there that night. Needless to say I played horribly that doubleheader my mind was not on the games. I gave the tickets away to a couple nice girls. The ONLY tour I missed since GUP. More Prince and Michael Jackson tours. I didn't miss the show but I had to leave early since my 8 year old daughter had to go to school the next morning. It was Ben Harper @ Merriweather Post Pavillian and it was my first time seeing him live 2004. U2 Pop Mart tour and the Joshua Tree tour both at RFK in DC. The JT tour ONLY lasted 5 songs as Bono slipped fell and broke separated his shoulder. 20 rows back dead center in a crowd of 55,000 it was one awful rainy Sunday Muddy Sunday.
  19. I completely agree with this, besides they play their live shows forever with multiple encores almost 3 hours. That's one of the unique things about the band is their setlist is that it does change completely from show to show. They have a faithful following like the Grateful Dead because of that. I've argued on their board about RUSH and how RUSH hardly ever changes their setlist from show to show. I sometimes have to remind them it's only three members to RUSH and it's just not so easy and simple to change things up from show to show.
  20. Another great album let's see what goes there.... 1) Jacob's Ladder 2) The Spirit Of Radio 3) Freewill 4) Natural Science 5) Entre Nous 6) Different Strings Might I add it was very difficult choosing a #1 but WHOOP there it is.
  21. Yeah awesome stuff JB, as far as TCE from the very beginning upon hearing this album that song was the one reason I'd come back to listen to over and over. Love that song it's tied with LVS as my #1 song. This has been a great thread on a great album to break down.....I should suggest kind of thing on the Pearl Jam site for their near perfect album 10.
  22. Exercise program or doctor's orders. Lol, none of the above......I'm not a drinker I needed to buy something and I only had 50's and 100's. I knew I wasn't going to be able to break them so I bought a 12 pack of Becks they were on sale. My thread makes TRFers drink! That's what kind of force it is! Lol that's funny. I saw this thread before I went out and I had no intention of buying beer but somewhere along my drive something hit me that I needed to buy it's the only thing I dont have in the fridge. Vital Signs is a great song and I love it but to me it's pushed aside maybe because it comes so late in the album and more power songs come before it. If it was in the top three of the album listing the voting might be different. Whoa the beer is taking affect.
  23. Let's be real rebels and choose them out of turn. 168) The Stars Look Down (Cyclonus X-1) What's left? The Way the Wind Blows? Resist? Everyday Glory? 168) was one of them and I have one other

  25. I've still have a couple songs that have not been named as yet.
