  1. I'm not vouching for the veracity of the claim, but someone says it first happened at this show. Per the reviewer, "This is the first time an audience shouts ?Hey!? during Overture..." If it happened on this date in 1980, then the phenomenon goes back as far as the Permanent Waves tour.
  2. I think that's why people always rave about Second Nature. Oh wait.... I sure wouldn't mind it, but if it doesn't happen, I won't be too sad. I wouldn't mind them keeping it to 3 instruments.
  3. A band being better when they're 20 years younger. Who'd've thought?
  4. http://www.digitalrushexperience.com/datab...ecordingID=1800 And you might want to put this in Different Stages, as it's not an official release.
  5. I like MFH, but it has always struck me as more a songwriter's album and less a bassist's album; he has complex arrangements, but never really jams - at least not a lot. I'm sure it was very satisfying for him to make, but I think it would be more satisfying for me if he rocked out a bit more. Again, though, I really like it, but wish he'd been more aggressive with his bass playing.
  6. Naked Starman? http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_0llV5RzxzAk/S_GxU6E7NsI/AAAAAAAABG8/4v93aWMm208/s1600/starman.jpg? Come to think of it, Jeff Bridges did have a butt shot in that movie, didn't he? The mystery is solved, I think.

    2nd Encore

Just play a 1 song set. That way, everything after it will be an encore. The encore can be 2h55m longer than the show itself.
  8. QUOTE (presto123 @ Jan 3 2012, 10:29 PM)Would love to see them play either Double Agent or Cold Fire as well. That shouldn't be a problem. Maybe you meant on an upcoming tour, but I was focused on the last 3 never-before-played posts.
  9. Good news. Somebody found it on Youtube.
  10. On a bootleg I have from the PoW tour, Geddy calls Territories a "dancing song."
  11. After a little looking, I found the old thread: http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/showthread.php?t=11783 It's inactive, and you can't post in that thread anymore, but you could always request someone put it up again.
  12. You can watch it at my house. I have it on DVD...or VCD...or something. I forget. I don't see it online, though; it went around the torrent circuit a few years ago and that's where I picked it up. For what it's worth, it's not that great.
  13. http://content.internetvideoarchive.com/content/photos/7239/30405805_.jpg I was brought up to believe...in ultraviolence.
  14. QUOTE (Babycat @ Dec 7 2011, 04:44 AM)(Though I have wondered what Ged would look like as a blonde.) Probably something like this: http://trialx.com/curetalk/wp-content/blogs.dir/7/files/2011/04/gcelebrities/Dean_Haglund-3.jpg
  15. In this case, you don't have to make one up. Alex already did a Christmas song.
  16. Look, I understand being an audiophile. I understand not wanting to needlessly buy every single release that comes out. I understand wanting to get others' opinions before committing to a big purchase. I honestly understand all of these things, and might be inclined to do one or all of them. That said, do we honestly need a new thread for each? So far, this is 2. Couldn't you just say "I like AFtK, Hem, PoW, and SoH [as examples]. Are upgrades worth it?" I understand your interest; I truly do, but is it worth making a new thread for each one?
  17. QUOTE (Motorshooter @ Nov 30 2011, 03:52 PM) What ever happen to Farris's girl friend?-she was a hottie as well http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000214/
  18. It's there. I don't think I used any special search criteria, either. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=593xyObzI8Y
  19. I wouldn't say everyone would agree. TFE peaked on the (US) charts at #5. Compare that to Signals, which only hit 10, Moving Pictures, which hit 3, PeW, which hit 4, and 2112, which only hit 61. While you may not have liked it, apparently some people did.
  20. I thought it was about disco balls and roller skates.
  21. I know this one has been played to death around here, but I have to give it to this version because I was there and it was a creative improvised stall.

    RUSH videos

QUOTE (HowItIs @ Nov 18 2011, 04:03 AM) The DVD of Chronicles has all of them up to and including the ones from HYF. After that, though, there is no compilation. Well, there's always Retrospective 3.
  23. QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Nov 9 2011, 12:26 PM) Aside from the different aspect ratio, that music video doesn't have the same resolution as the HD cameras used in shooting the concert, and it would need to be zoomed in on to fill out a 16:9 screen, and that would decrease its sharpness big time. I would have found that less distracting than a repeated shift in aspect ratio, but that's just my opinion.
  24. QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Nov 9 2011, 12:34 PM) The first thing I did after reading the original post was to see if this guy was a reani14 alter (he didn't appear to be). That's just silly. The post is correct in terms of spelling, grammar, and capitalization.
  25. With regard to the sound delay, it seemed spot on most of the time, but I did see a couple of instances of it. I'm curious: in the shots of audio not synching, was that a shot of the screen in the background? The background video is always slightly off, and I'm just curious if we're just getting a shot of that. Also a big puzzler for me: why, if they letterboxed the Stick It Out video for the background (notice it's not 4:3 behind the stage), did they not do it for the brief scenes on the BD? It's just weird how it'll cut to 4:3 for brief periods to show a snippet of the video. Why not letterbox that, too, for consistency? Not a big deal, but something that really jumped out at me.
