  1. As just mentioned, persistence is key. I was trying for a while with no luck, but then 10th row popped up. Just keep trying right after it begins, and as people turn tickets down, they will appear.
  2. While you may have made it the same as for these forums, there's no link between them. Could you have set it to something different? Either way, there should be some sort of link for assistance (which I can't see, as I'm already logged in. Sorry.).
  3. QUOTE (OliasOfDelaware @ Apr 13 2010, 11:20 AM) I got the email, I was invited, but whenever I try to log in to buy tickets it says Username or Password is incorrect. HELP! Reregister, maybe? Is there a link for help with logging in like a "Forgot your password?" link?
  4. I can't complain too much about the presales. I just scored 10th row to Mohegan Sun.
  5. QUOTE (Presto-digitation @ Apr 13 2010, 08:09 AM) Imagine if PF actually toured again WITH Roger Waters. $500..? $750? $1000? Well, that could have happened about 2 years ago, but not anymore.
  6. QUOTE (EPR66 @ Apr 10 2010, 05:15 PM) I've had good luck with these Etymotics I've been using since the Vapor Trails Tour: http://www.etymotic.com/ephp/er20.aspx I was just going to recommend these. That's what I have. They don't muffle at all - just filter out harsher frequencies.
  7. I've seen a TON of shows at PNC and I don't recall ever seeing a cab there. You'd probably have to arrange for one to come get you ahead of time. I used to live less than 5 mins from PNC, and I can't think of any cab company in the area off the top of my head.
  8. They're playing the TD Center in Boston, which is just on the other side of a tunnel from Logan airport. I don't know anything about the acoustics in the venue, but it would be a convenient 2 minute cab ride.
  9. QUOTE (Earthshine @ Apr 9 2010, 01:49 AM) No doubt. It seems this band can't do one tour since 2002 without doing a DVD of it. Make that '96. Technical issues got in the way. They tried, though.
  10. QUOTE (Some Half-Forgotten Stranger @ Mar 30 2010, 06:10 AM) 18" Stonehenge. Geddy had that on his keyboard last tour. It's on the DVD, if you missed it.
  11. QUOTE (RushNut @ Feb 18 2010, 11:55 AM) Of course...men can see bras this way too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6U7g-yFjw0...layer_embedded# I'm just sayin'..... Just in case you needed an argument for the idea "just because you can doesn't mean you should.
  12. Perhaps when you're with somebody, you carry yourself with an attractive confidence - since you're not trying to get with the other ladies in question. Also, what Tick said about the challenge.
  13. QUOTE (RushFanForever @ Oct 27 2009, 10:15 PM) This is a 2003 statement from Alan Weinrib (Geddy's brother) who was executive producer of the 'Rush In Rio' DVD here. "The decision to forego an anamorphic version was due to limitations with some of the cameras used to film the concert. The majority of the concert was filmed in a 16:9 Digibeta format but due to the sensitivity of having cameramen distracting Neil during the show, mini remote cameras were used around him that could only be recorded in a 4:3 format. The issue of anamorphic was first raised in June and we investigated the option and what it would take to convert these tapes, which once the show was fully edited comprised about 25 - 30% of the footage used, to anamorphic. Since we were already dealing with a softer image, the process necessary to achieve anamorphic for these particular tapes would have degraded the footage further and many shots of Neil would have become blurred and all these shots would have really stood out from the rest of the program. With this footage comprising so much of the show it would have been become a distraction and as such lessen the experience for the viewer. The decision was made to maintain the strongest possible quality product and deliver a great performance, in what is still the most common format, while holding onto our intended letterbox look. The decision was purely one of giving the highest quality experience to all the viewers possible." - Allan Weinrib, Executive Producer, "Rush In Rio" This has always sounded like a weak argument to me. Let's rephrase (and bear in mind that I'm putting words in his mouth, but go with me): "We felt it was better that you folks with widescreen TVs (you know....the only ones that care if it's anamorphic or not) use your TV's zoom feature. We feel that using that feature will always produce a better result that our professionally mastering it that way." I disagree wholeheartedly.
  14. QUOTE (New World Kid @ Oct 27 2009, 03:11 PM) You can tell what the music is doing through the "poor" audio quality. There are a lot of VT haters that are going to disagree with this statement.
  15. QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Aug 20 2009, 01:53 PM) QUOTE It was service marked for protection. Pardon my ignorance, but what does that mean? A service mark is like a trademark, but for services, not products. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Service_mark
  16. QUOTE (Der Trommler @ Aug 20 2009, 01:22 PM) I know! I heard about that too. Where was that again? I don't know. Some douchebag's house.
  17. I saw Power Windows at Club Bene in Sayreville, NJ back in about 1995 or so. They performed very well, but the singer was sick, so his voice was noticibly off. I kinda feel like I never got the whole experience.
  18. QUOTE (Der Trommler @ Aug 19 2009, 01:14 PM) drummer pulled hair out & is now bald... Whatever happened to that guy? He sounds like a dick. I think I saw him at a party wearing a funny tiara. If only I had a picture of that....
  19. QUOTE (PanaceaFish @ Mar 7 2009, 02:07 AM) Mmmm...Adrian Zmed?? Back in the day, yeah I'd have hit that big time!! But what does he look like nowadays??? http://www.vh1.com/sitewide/flipbooks/img/shows/confessions_of_a_teen_idol/cast/adrian_zmed.jpg
  20. QUOTE (lerxt1990 @ Mar 6 2009, 07:59 PM) I dont know about that. After a couple of surgeries William Shatner will look like this, reportedly... http://imagecache2.allposters.com/images/pic/MMPH/171051~Adrian-Zmed-Posters.jpg Right show, wrong actor. Who knew a TJ Hooker joke would be topical in today's world?
  21. QUOTE (Janie @ Mar 6 2009, 11:43 AM)Plastic surgery almost never ever looks right. He would look amazing I bet if he never had any. Plus, he's got to be older than he says. Isn't he trying to say he's in his mid-50s? More like mid-60s. He was crazy sexy during his prime. Oh Mickey. You're not so fine, not so fine, oh Mickey. The internet has his birthday as Sept of 52, so in fairness, he's 56. That counts as mid 50s. But to address your main point, you're right; he probably would look a ton better without surgery. That scalpel seems to have f*cked his face up - really bad. He should try to get his money back.
  22. QUOTE (Rushman14 @ Mar 5 2009, 02:50 PM) http://www.catalogs.com/info/bestof/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/mickey_rourke.jpg What a horrible commercial for plastic surgery, considering this is the after picture.
  23. Sorry if this link was already posted. I haven't been in this thread before, and I'm not going to read 70 pages to see if it was. Nevertheless, in the interest of injecting a little levity into it.... If mammograms put you off a bit, there's always this alternative: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ytMx7irm-c Disclaimer: The above was meant for humor. Please get examined by a professional as often as is appropriate...and don't forget to check yourself - unless you'd prefer to have Cam do it.
  24. QUOTE (Smudger @ Jun 10 2008, 10:09 AM)Please JON it is "You probably would have got away scott free" that is such a distressing error for me to see. I'm not going to take sides in this argument, as most viewpoints have already been covered. Nevertheless, since we're on the topic of correcting, shouldn't it be "You probably would have gotten away scott free?" Also, shouldn't there be some punctuation in there, too? Again, I'm not taking sides or looking for a subtle way to attack you; I just think that if you're going to correct someone's grammar, your correction should be grammatically correct. That's just my opinion.
  25. QUOTE (jkt2112 @ Jun 2 2008, 12:39 AM) Beta??? You are really showing your age... (Why can't I find the old guy emoticon?) I'm right there with you...I remember a VCR that only worked for 60 minutes at a time... Although, I also remember 8 tracks!!! (Not reel-to-reel, though...) I remember Beta VCRs, rotary phones, typewriters, TVs with only 12 channels, 8 inch floppy disks, and a world without the internet. I don't feel that old. I'm only 34.
