  1. That was 38 years ago and I have no memory of it whatsoever, but I'd guess it was either something Rush or New Wave.
  2. He was a helluva running back and for that one play, happened to be in the right place at the right time and will go down in history for it. RIP.
  3. I'd imagine I had heard them on the radio but in 1978 we moved to a very small town in Illinois and a guy that became one of my best friends was a huge fan. There were four or five of us who spent a lot of time at his house, always listening to music, and much of the time it was Rush. I'll never forget when Permanent Waves was released, he wrote a long letter to the band expressing his concern about the direction the band was going. In return, he got a form letter and info about how to join the Backstage Club. Being the nerds we were, we often had "name that tune" contests where he'd drop the needle and then quickly pick it up and we'd guess.
  4. You may not know the name, but I'd guess some of you know the band he fronted, The Specials. He was also the singer for Fun Boy Three and a few lesser known bands. He was only 63. RIP. Probably their most well known song.
  5. SNL rerun with Kristin Wiig as the host and Dua Lipa as the "musical" guest.
  6. I'd guess Qatar spent a lot of money, some of it to FIFA, to get the games there.
  7. The person who originally posted that when I saw it was in a coma for more than a year and can no longer do anything without assistance and cannot travel without a wheelchair. Before that he was a 20 something, vibrant young man, so if he can have a little fun with his issue, I don't think it's a problem for me to post that.
  8. My wife and I decided a few years ago to not get presents for each other except for our anniversary and maybe something small for birthdays. It seems to be working and you don't have to worry about getting something the other person will like. We do get a nice prime rib roast and cook that for Christmas dinner and that works out for both of us.
  9. Even though he was injured and only played in 11 games, that Hendon Hooker guy from Tennessee had 3,135 yards passing with 27 TDs and only 2 INTs. Not too shabby.
  10. It seems one of Will Ferrell's sons, Magnus, is in a band and recently at a benefit concert, Will got on stage and played some cowbell during their cover of Creep by Radiohead.
  11. 35%. Some of those are very obscure (Crimson Glory? Municipal Waste?) and I've never listened to Morbid Angel and that style of music. Plus, there was no Venom. although someone was wearing a Venom shirt, so this is a questionable quiz.
  12. A question for the cinephiles. My son got me "The Dark Knight Trilogy" that has Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises. Is it necessary or even helpful to watch them in order and what's your favorite of those?
