Actually scratch what I said about my stance on metal projects: I don’t wanna play nor be a part of anything metal project-wise unless you copy Deafheaven from head to toe.

Referring to me? yes! Did some random harsh vocals yesterday while I had the house to myself for an hour or so. Technique’s there but the power & ferocity went to shit. Ironically, I’ve been more inclined to do male vocal/acoustic covers of singer songstresses (Wolfe, Rundle, Esfandiari), a Swans cover in “my style” and even a PFB cover than play metal music. vocaroo up, son I’m gonna live up to my friend Thom and say “NO.” I’m currently working on something actually. I just want nothing to do with metal as far as my creativity goes in the present. ok. I just really need someone else to do vocals for me. Actually, the real reason I can’t do harsh vocals at the moment is because ironically, I’m sick to the point my voice has weakened! Also, I have no decent mic so I can’t really have a grasp of where my harsh vox are without it being recorded decently.

Apart from occasional phlegmy coughing, & an on/off again sinus congestion and ofc weakened voice, I’m pretty much fine and will be self-isolating myself for several weeks it seems like.

That’s a band I need to give a shot. They’re on Neurot (Neurosis’ in-house label) at least in NA so that’s a plus to me.

And by “my style” for that Swans cover I mean my awkward and stiff guitar strumming pattern.

every concert is being cancelled or rescheduled, it's disappointing but understandable. It’s definitely the right call. I’m gonna do my best to support as much as I can by buying merch off the bands I was suppose to see cause they really need the support in these turbulent times.

Decibel Tour’s cancelled. Tom Hanks got the COVID-19 and shows over 500 people are being indefinitely banned (though this rarely applies to me cause I mostly go to club shows now). We’re f***ed.

I can do midrange/black metal type harsh vocals now. Without feeling anything weird in my throat other than spitting out phlegm after awhile. That’s a step forward.
