  1. For each of my children, when arranging their Yearbook pages...I used Peart lyrics as their words of advice for the future. The Teacher-Advisor was anticipating a lyric by the third child.
  2. I took a hiatus from RUSH after binging...and am now coming back to them. Listening to the songs, their power...I wonder how the guys are doing. I know, they know, they're in this together with us. I can only hope the date passes in peace and acceptance.
  3. I wore my Vital Signs shirt while getting some framing done...the lady helping us was Jewish...and she recognized the Hebrew lettering on the shirt. She said they were consonant sounds mostly.
  4. QUOTE (Pags @ Mar 1 2011, 11:42 AM) I own some Rush T's that I wear to my bowling league, and it always gets a positive response. Always. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v502/paganoman/TheJacket.jpg ^^This is the crowning jewel of my Rush gear. It usually stays in the closet, safely protected - I'll only take it out for Rush shows usually. But I've shown it to some friends of mine who are ultimate ball-busters and this jacket has landed me some fierce (but funny) ridicule. Oh well. STEPPIN' OUT!!!
  5. I wore my RUSH 30 shirt out to dinner and got a comment from a fella who had one just like it. We jawwed about the band, upcoming show, the last show, etc. It was cool.
  6. Of COURSE they were going to tour in 2012...some kid going to that show just might be alive when 2112 comes around.
  7. There were barriers between the stage and the PIT seats. It was difficult to walk to your seats in the PIT. If I had to get out due to fire, I would have great difficulty doing that without tripping. WAH, I was so inconvenienced in the PIT.
  8. Certainly take her...the crowd will be the most supportive of any you know. So much so, you might tell her that people are so friendly, a total stranger will talk to you and be really nice to you. A conflict in today's mentality I know, but this will happen as fans are happy to see the experience shared. Be sure and get to the venue EARLY, scope out the seats, people watch, bathroom duty, but mainly to get your gear before the line reach 40 min. wait times. One limitation is visibility. If you can bring in a bag that has a inflatable kiddy chair...put that in your seat and have her stand on it. The people behind won't mind and she'll have better memories. Just my feedback...enjoy making them memories!
  9. I've never seen a person deliberately hit with a beach ball. I've seen them hit into the air, and float down. Is that so bad? I've seen frisbees at show...and those are dangerous!
  10. QUOTE (Xabiche @ Jan 20 2011, 05:49 PM) QUOTE (osage2112 @ Dec 7 2010, 10:30 PM)Actually, Austin does suffer from this affliction...the rest of the state knows it and has decided to quarantine the place. Go to Llano, Childress, Balmorhea, Pampa, Tennessee Colony...these are places where you know your neighbors and EXPECT decent behavior. In Austin and the other Metro-hell holes of Texas...anonyimity allows people to follow the liberal line of "I get to do anything I wanna and the rest of you can just eat my shorts." Yeah Austin is Liberal, it's also a festering sanctuary city full of crime and disgust. Great for a good show, pitiful as a place to raise a family. Osage Hey, you should come to Eeyore's Birthday Party, drop some acid, and dance naked in the drum circle. Your tax dollars hard at work! Bwah-hahahahahaaaaaaa!!!!!!!! IT'S ON!!!!!!!!!
  11. Suh-Wheat! That is an epic road trip...how many miles you suppose? 1500+ Stay SAFE, Osage

Osage I know a lot of people who would disagree strongly with that kind of blanket statement. Your comment shows me that living in the small towns in Texas is a great place to be small minded, too. have a nice day. Actually, I'm from Houston...and even we look down on Austin's liberal affliction. Osage What's wrong with you, then? You're right dude...Austin is like Texas' crazy uncle...you just gotta love him! I could not imagine Texas with out it!!! Now onto a GREAT show!!!! Osage
  13. Pretty smooth too for Austin...got Sec. 5 row 11. I'm a bit confused witht the seating chart and hoping for the best. Saw the Premium tickets I got were Sec. 5 row 5...for $296 a seat. Got mine for $98...fingers crossed! Osage Only bummer was seeing tickets for sale on ebay immediately.
  14. Houston had a couple. Everyone seemed to have a good time with them. Just wondering! Osage
  15. I'd like to see them at the Austin City Limits Music festival...that would rock. Osage
  16. OMGOSH...ebay already has tickets for sale...that really makes me sooooo mad. I really wish RUSH would spend the time to make this not happen. Register, sell then tickets...the name and the ticket need to match. I've got 4 on the floor...Sec. 5. I felt like I never saw Sec. 1-4...only 5 and 6. I was going to pass and try the later sell date but wussed out and bought. If I get better, I'll sell my four for cost. Osage

  18. Austin will be worth the Monday vacation! I hope everyone gets the city they're wishing for!!! Visualizing world class seating! Osage
  19. Somehow I doubt the Film Society will be putting this one in their Vault Of All Time. Osage
  20. Not to rain on the parade, but of Anderson's efforts, this film just seemed like one of those that had legs longer than it's pants. I compare it to a Pollock painting...semi-technically it IS art, but you're a fool to pay millions for it. Just because everyone says it's art don't make it so...hello ROTHKO (OMG). Magnolia is a film, but it rests in the catagory of "the emperors new clothes"...how many yes men this production went through and not one said...THIS SUCKS. That's entertainment??? Pretty empty personification of a world that does not exist...uh, wait just a minute...I finally get it!!!!! Anderson IS a GENIUS!!! Not. Osage
  21. If there was ONE BAND that could make their concerts SCALPER FREE...I would think that band would be RUSH. But this problem seems to be too big even for them. I resold my three tickets...drove my butt to San Antonio, sold them for face value to a person on a handshake. They enjoyed the show and I got paid about a week later. No Problem...and as it should be. Osage
  22. True, for all the good fun wrapped into one...Austin is a pretty righteous place. My son is thinking of going to UT...sure hope he can handle the "distractions." Osage
