Hi, I saw them: Comiskey Park Jam II, August, 1979 Partial Tour of the hemispheres Alpine Valley, September 1979, Partial Tour of the Hemispheres International Amphitheatre, (April 3,4, and 6) 3 times out of 4 nights, Chicago, 1980, Permanent Waves International Amphitheatre, Feb 26 and 28 (once first row!), Chicago, 1981,Moving Pictures Alpine Valley, Wisconsin, July 4, 3rd Row, 1981, Moving Pictures Veterans Memorial, September 8th, Des Moines, IA, was 1st row in general admission and got pushed back to 7th row, 1982, Signals Rosemont Horizon, June 29th and June 30th, 1984, Grace Under Pressure So, saw them 11 times between 1979-1985.

I absolutely love the guitar solo on this song. I also love the blending between guitars, keys, and bass with the drums giving them room and space to "blend" and flourish.

Well, as this tour draws to a close tonight, I'm feeling a little nostalgic, maybe sad, that this looks to be the end of the "tours of this magnitude." Having seen them at least once on every tour since the Partial Tour of the Hemisphere in 1979 at Chicago's old Comsikey Park at Jam II, feeling like this perhaps marks the end of a whole time period in my life where I looked forward to the new albums - the album cover, the music, the lyrics, the upcoming concerts and the excitement of getting tickets, what the concert t shirts and tour booklets we're going to be like, what the show was going to be like, the apprehension of the lights going down in the concert hall right before the start, hearing a song I never expected to hear... all of it. Kinda sad that it is ending at least of "this magnitude." Yes, probably new albums to look forward to and yes, probably the week of dates in NYC or something like it (which ofcourse I will love!), but still won't be the same. All of this is ok ofcourse, as all things do need to end... and perhaps, new doors in other areas of life open... but still... just feeling a little sad. I think I will go through all of the stuff I've collected through the years, listen to some of the albums today, and look forward to reading the commentaries regarding tonight's show, and watch the YouTube video of Losing It, if they play it tonight - all stuff to look forward to... But nevertheless... just feeling a little sad and nostalgic. Great band, great band members, great music, and big part of a part of my life.

I had previously sent a picture I had taken to be autographed on last three tours and never received anything back. I did the same thing for this tour and sent it to Wells Fargo in Philly, the show I was attending. About 3 days later, I got the envelope back - so excited, opened it up and enclosed was unsigned photo and letter of appreciation I sent. I was disappointed but understood if it never was signed, I am just fully appreciative of the music and all the years of great concerts and albums. Anyways, I did say to myself, well, if this is looking like it is going to be the last tour, why not try one more time. So, I sent a photo I took at the philly concert to their show in Kansas City, way ahead of time - I sent it July 3rd, that concert was July 9 and never got anything... and I was thinking, that is okay, I gave it my best... always appreciative of what the band has done...July 18, as I am cutting the lawn, I see the mailman walking up with the large gold envelope and see that it is the self addressed envelope I sent... I walk in to the house... wondering if it will be returned unsigned and preparing myself for that and as I unseal the envelop and pull out the picture... my eyes blinking, disbelieving of what I am seeing, it is my photo, "To David" signed by all three members next them. WOW!!!! I am still floating on cloud nine! Going to get this framed in archival frame! I am so excited. After seeing them in concert on every tour, at least once, since 1979 Partial Tour of the Hemispheres, I am so grateful, appreciative and happy that they autographed my picture!

Added to above message, that was the only time I saw them 1st row, was on MP. It's been a great ride!

Hi, in 1981, I was able to get front row seats, when I was 17 years old, seeing Rush on their Moving Pictures Tour in Chicago at the International Amphitheatre on 2nd night. What an incredible concert. I was so incredibly lucky! I think the tickets cost $60.00! I saw them on their PW tour and Partial Tour of the Hemispheres much, much further away... In Chicago and Alpine Valley and was so blown away... So to this day, feel very grateful for having seen them 1st row on this tour. I have seen them at least once every tour since, and incredibly grateful for the music, concerts, albums.

Back when I attended shows in 1979 and early 1980s, before the age of he Internet, it was so incredibly cool to anticipate what songs they would be playing before the concert and during the concert ("I wonder what song they will play next!?") or what song they would open with. Now it is hard to avoid hearing about what songs they are playing on the tour given online media and I have to say, for me, I probably like not knowing and instead, enjoying the anticipation and excitement before the show and during the concert of what they will play - part of the experience for me. Looking forward to this tour and seeing them in Philadelphia. Seen them at least once every tour since Summer of 1979, Partial Tour of the Hemispheres, Comiskey Park in Chicago, Jam II. Great band, always terrific concerts, great albums through the years, big part of my life.

I got VIP tickets 3 minutes after 10 in Philly... Now I just have to wait until day of show to see where I am at, ugh!

1st row at international ampitheatre in Chicago for MP and 3rd row Alpine Valley WI. 20th row at international ampitheatre in Chicago for PW tour - loved being truly in the middle of all the crowd energy and excitement of that concert. 10th row on the aisle, Alex's side in Atlantic City, Clockwork Angels.

Listening to the live version of In the End off the ATWAS album back in 1978 when I was 15, then listened to Fly by Night studio version before school started in the library off the phonograph with headphones! Then saw them in Chicago at Comiskey Park Jam II in 1979 - great memory and concert of being there all day in the mud and all of us rushing to the front of the stage when the beginning synth of 2112 started. I was hooked. Seen them every tour since, including first row on MP tour! Big part of my life.

Logged in within 3 minutes of opening and got 3rd row in front of Alex in Philly last year. Well worth it!!! "would do it all again!"

I don't remember if they have ever played this venue. I got seats in section P, halfway up, I am assuming these will be ok given the smaller size of the venue... Saw them on this tour in Philly, 3rd row in front of Alex... And wanted to get more of a big picture view of the band and concert. Thoughts on this?
