    Cats!

I have to share my five-year-old Skip. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v230/sfuentes/Skip5_zps99e5c17f.jpg
  2. QUOTE (GeminiRising79 @ Sep 16 2012, 11:02 AM) http://www.cygnus-x1.net/links/rush/images/tourbooks/snakes-and-arrows-cover-s.jpg http://www.israbox.com/uploads/posts/2012-02/1329413014_folder.jpg You could even interpret an arrow in the middle of the loop I've thought these to be similar as well! A great and underrated album by a fantastic band. This thread is turning into broadband-only Internet connection...
  3. Thank you, everyone, for the input. And the welcome! My posts are, hopefully, a far cry from what they used to be.
  4. Thank you for reading my post! I'm certainly not the only person with these thoughts and feelings. My adolescent fascination with the band has grown into something slightly less embarrassing than the usual "Greatest Band Ever" sentiment.
  5. Collecting used LPs became a hobby of mine about three years ago. I will only buy new LPs from Rush! Vapor Trails, Feedback, Snakes & Arrows, and Moving Pictures: Live all sound terrific on my turntable! Hunting older Rush LPs is exciting. I've managed to nab each of the studio LPs with the glaring exceptions of Roll The Bones and Counterparts. To my knowledge, Test For Echo was never released as a vinyl record. I've also managed to acquire some oddball releases. Archives, Hemispheres in picture disc format, and Rush Through Time. I would like to know how the latter made its way to the United States!
  6. For a while, I've felt an urge to express my admiration and respect for Rush through a medium accessible to other people who can relate to the way I feel. I think a post on the first forum I became active on is my best bet! I've grown up listening to this band and they have remained my favorite with no question. Brief infatuations with similar bands always leave me disappointed because I find myself expecting the players in those bands to have the same modesty, honesty, and genuine character shared among our favorite rock trio. Alas, many do not. Perhaps it is merely luck that has kept Rush together for nearly four decades, but a more likely cause of their longevity and success is their unwillingness to compromise for financial or personal gain. I believe that Rush has cast forth a model to follow from which every individual can find guidance; Honesty and integrity lead to living, not just existence. My respect for Rush stems from the words and music that resonate with my soul and the people that create them. Geddy, Alex, and Neil all have given me a role model to improve my quality of character. Although it is certain no entity is perfect, we can try to get closer to that unreachable, yet tangible ideal. As I'm reaching, I know that they are too. Rush have cemented themselves as my favorite band. They write the music that makes me happy and I am eternally grateful for their place in my heart. Rush is not just a band; they are my favorite band.
  7. QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Jul 25 2006, 02:50 PM) Here. This is supposed to be funny? Who wrote it, a ten-year old? It adds to Elias' "sheltered, mama's boy" character, I found.
  8. QUOTE (bytor11 @ Jul 24 2006, 08:58 AM) Only odd part was the dance sequence in the parking lot, that could have been cut. Hahaha, I loved how random it was.
  9. I found it hilarious, it was well worth the money I spent. I miss the black and white from the original however, which I am a HUGE fan of. Please, discuss.
  10. I'd have to say Don't Care. It's the only one that stands out for me, the rest are pretty much garbage.
  11. This was a very difficult poll. Each of the songs on My Favorite Headache are strong. However, I must say that Home On The Strange stands out for me. My reasoning is that it doesn't sound like Rush from a surface level, but once one truly listens to the song, it's core is Rush. Well DUH, Geddy Lee is playing and writing the songs.
  12. Why does Chinese food taste better coming up than going down?
  13. I don't think they ever had any groupies. Maybe Geddy and Neil did (probably not), but Alex most likely didn't, as I think he was married to his sweetheart in 1975.
  14. How many drummers does it take to screw in a light bulb? Three. One to screw the lightbulb in and two to discuss how Neil Peart would have done it.

  16. QUOTE (Inthend @ Jul 9 2005, 09:50 PM) QUOTE (sfuentes @ Mar 31 2005, 04:44 AM) All right. I have one. "I am the double-edged sword, The two-headed snake As giving as St. Nick Ah, I also have a sting" A bit easy, I believe. Freewill? Nope, try again.

Well done, SFuentes Actually, though, I have a different answer for #21. Can anyone think of more to post? What's your answer for #21? I have one that you guys can guess. 18 = SA in the RC. Studio Albums in the Rush Catalog Good job. Got one for us?
  20. QUOTE (GhostGirl @ May 16 2005, 12:58 PM) QUOTE (sfuentes @ May 16 2005, 02:27 AM) Not on the television, but I'm watching Animal House. This movie never gets old. Wow...not on the telly, eh? Wherever DO you project your films as you watch them, sfuentes? Technically it is on the television then.
