  2. Well considering I wasnt into Rush until after 07 when Snakes and Arrows came out my answer is Clockwork Angels. I am pretty stoked to hear it too cause I really like Caravan and BU2B.
  3. The show was great. They played awesome and it was an awesome time. Now im not gonna write a review or anything but i just wanted to say wtf? They cut out the fire during "Caravan" Whats up with that? I didnt pay that much and travel that far to not have my face burned off. Lmao. Im sure they had a good reason though. Also i noticed people checking out my ride because of the plates and the starman on the window. It was a great feeling.
  4. This has been a nightmare of a trip so far but im sitting here at the united center and the show is gonna makd up for the last 24 hours. Lol
  5. And thanks for the plate compliment skeeter. lol
  6. That place looks nice. We'll definately be there if theres a meetup.
  7. Just wanted to express my excitement cause me and my brother are leaving for Chicago tomorrow morning for Tuesday's Rush show. Got the car detailed, got a set of new tires on it too and were ready to hit the road. We just got to get through this last day of work tonight. LOL We wanted to get to Chicago a day early so that we have a little more time to spend in the city cause neither of us have ever been there. So any great spots around that area to visit, let me know. We should arrive Tomorrow afternoon sometime and we plan on leaving Wednesday afternoon. We got a pretty nice suite booked at the Embassy Suites there. So again, any cool place to visit, please let me know or if there's gonna be a TRF member meetup before the show on Tuesday, we might have to join you all.
  8. I guess i could be more specific and less of a douche. the screen reads "Disc not playable" when inserted. I tried literally 10 other Blu-Ray's and they work fine. im pissed.
  9. I had to buy the expensive "cool" shit and now I cant watch the Moving Pictures BluRay cause of this fact... I tried many times. tried to update. no update. this is a bunch of bullshit. Sony Blu-Ray/google TV player. NSZ-GT1 if anyone has a way to fix this issue please let me know because I just want to throw the son of a bitch in the trash. (500 dollar f***ing blu-ray player)

  13. QUOTE (Babycat @ Apr 8 2011, 10:08 AM) Not wanting to come across as a total berk, but what's an 8 track..? An 8-track tape is a hard plastic cartridge about the size of an external modem that houses a continuous loop of non-digital (analog) audio data stored on magnetic tape. William Powell Lear, founder of Learjet, invented and patented the 8-track tape and its corresponding player in 1963, when he was looking for a simple, long-playing tape system to install in the business jets that bore his name. 8-track tapes, which can hold up to 45 minutes of sound, were introduced to the general public in 1966 when the Ford Motor Company included 8-track players as a cutting-edge automotive accessory for the Ford Mustang. The music recording industry quickly saw the potential for a lucrative home player market and by the early 1970's, 8-track tapes were replacing vinyl long-playing (LP) record albums as the dominant format in pre-recorded music. Their light-weight plastic casings made them ideal for travel -- and unlike vinyl records, 8-track tapes didn't warp or skip. By the early 1980s, advances in tape technology and noise reduction made the even smaller compact cassette the system of choice and by 1983, record labels ceased production of pre-recorded 8-track tapes altogether. Today, the adjective "8-track" is synonymous with "quickly obsolete". yeah i copied and pasted cause i didnt know how to explain it. lol

  15. Im listening to Bastille Day right now. I enjoy the chorus to this song.
  16. Twilight Zone. Epic Song.
  17. Im a LOST guru. Ask me anything. any quote. any character. any situation. I have watched that series from front to back, numerous times. I can't get enought of LOST. Computers is my thing as well. Bowling too.
  18. QUOTE (TwentyOneTwelve @ Apr 6 2011, 09:15 AM) Yep saw this for the UK date too! Not sure where you'd have to go exactly because I doubt all stores are going to have one of every LP that's on offer..... Don't want to make a trip only to not be able to find it! I'll have to do some noseying around... if you go to www.recordstoreday.com it gives you a list of perticipating record stores. I put in my area code and found a few. you may have to contact the store to ask them to order it as well. That's what I had to do. There's so many exclusives to be released, im sure that some stores only order certian LP's when requested by a customer.
  19. QUOTE (Mystic Slipperman @ Apr 6 2011, 09:09 AM) Not an April Fool's thing, right? I am ALL over this. Awesome! Nope. Not an April Fools joke. lol
  20. Coming this Record Store Day (April 16th) is an exclusive release of Caravan and BU2B on a 7" vinyl LP. I just found this out yesterday and contacted a record store demanding they order this one. They told me they will. LOL Just wondering if anyone else knew since I never heard of it mentioned here at all.
  21. damn. still waiting on it to show up in the mail. im uber excited now since a few people have reviewed the Blu-ray already. My home theater system is excited too. LOL I cant F'N wait to play it.
  22. I used to be a big mix tape creator/player. even in 2001 and 2002 when I didnt have the ability to make mix cd's due to my situation, I would borrow cd's from friends, and even use my own cd's too and make mix tape after mixtape to play on my little portable cassette player. Lol And i remember when I was a little younger than that even, I stole my moms Offspring - Americana and Metallica - Garage Inc. tapes and walked all over town listening to those two albums for months. having these Rush cassettes and playing them is bringing back some of those old memories of owning and using tapes. its cool.

    Rush on Cassette

I just scored the complete Rush cassette collection. (well, excluding Archives) on Ebay. $33 bucks including shipping. Just got it in the mail. Every Rush album available on cassette from "Rush" to "Test For Echo" including all 3 live albums during that period and "Chronicles". Just curious to see if anyone else has went out there to collect Rush on "dead" formats. Or if anyone thinks its a dumb or bad idea. My next collection might be 8-tracks just for the sake of having them. That's pretty much the reason I bought the Tapes. and because I got a sweet old school stereo system which included a tape deck. So as of now, I got Rush on CD (all albums), Rush on vinyl, (all albums except for Presto, RTB, CP, and S&A.) and Rush on cassette.
  24. its hard to choose cause there's so many great songs. my favorite is 2112 and will always be 2112. but i cant really say its their single best song cause the next songs in my personal top 10 (hell, even top 25-50) are very close favorites. any one of these songs could very well be the single BEST Rush song to me, but there's no way i can ever choose.
  25. wtf? whoever made that video is a tool. and btw, I would've agreed with the p/g as being "the worst ever" a year or so ago cause i wasn't liking the synth stuff that much. but it has grown on me and is in heavy rotation in my Rush listening now. "Red Sector A" FOR THE F**KING WIN! lol
