  1. I flew in from Seattle and had the best time of my life! And sorry, I wasn't paying attention to the crowd while Rush was on ;) Other times in the evening, yes, but not during Rush. Heck, to be honest I was pretty much focused on our Rush guys the entire night........looking between the 2 heads in row in front of me gave me a direct line of vision to their table. Couldn't see Neil too well but often saw Geddy's reaction to other speeches & performers. Awesome!!
  2. I was looking at that belly for much of the first half of last year's Vegas concert from my front row perspective. I wanted to come here and shout it to the world but got too shy to post. But since you brought it up, I don't mind saying "thank you Geddy for the cheap thrills!"
  3. My guess is that Ged & Al actually hire Simmons to travel with them, to serve as a cover for distraction.

  5. All those summers spent in search of that elusive creature, The Perfect Suntan.
  6. Hi Mara ~ How are you doing? If you feel for any reason you need to try an alternate method to stop smoking, I highly recommend Allen Carr's "The Easy Way to Stop Smoking". It's nothing short of a miracle how easy it really was for me to quit smoking with this program. Had smoked for nearly 40 years and then quit the day I listened to their webcast. No cravings, no tricks, no nicotine replacement, nothing. It's been almost 2 years and I still have no desire to smoke, which stuns me everytime I think about it, LOL. Best wishes to you and let me know if I can help in any way. ~ Becky
  7. haha no way!!! thats awesome! I was squished between two dudes, but i was directly in front of the speaker and Geddy's mic stand! I was row A seat 2! how about you? row A seat 7
  8. No advice other than to choose wisely, young lad. :) The DMV are sticklers about these personal plates. They wouldn't accept my username "SkinBag" even though it is from the title of an ancient Buddhist poem (The Song of the Skin Bag). The nerve! LOL
  9. Great photos everyone! And iBytor, you must have been seated/standing right beside me because that looks exactly like some I took. Apologies in advance to drgendel but I simply must post 3 shots....to capture the feeling of a front row ticket in Sin City. :pokercards: :sundog: %5Bimg%5Dhttp%3A//i22.photobucket.com/albums/b325/ChowChowMa/concerts/Rush%20in%20Las%20Vegas%202012/063_zps9b9ef89b.jpg[/img] %5Bimg%5Dhttp%3A//i22.photobucket.com/albums/b325/ChowChowMa/concerts/Rush%20in%20Las%20Vegas%202012/072_zpsd05f92a0.jpg[/img] because I was in Happy city limits all night long %5Bimg%5Dhttp%3A//i22.photobucket.com/albums/b325/ChowChowMa/concerts/Rush%20in%20Las%20Vegas%202012/090_zps67abcadf.jpg[/img] my favorite band in between 2 of my favorite slot machines.....sweet!
  10. I'm attending and, like previously mentioned, having tough time deciding what to wear. Us girls have it rough, we have to choose between formal or casual dress, short or long length for either, or between dressy or casual pants or jeans. Let me know what response you get if you call the theatre. Hope to see you all there! ~ Becky
  11. I am not sure why this particular situation has me so excited, but given all that we know about Neil not wanting to directly interact with the fans, I find this case very refreshing and it just leaves me with a really nice feeling inside.... Skin Bag, it was a really nice gesture to knit those items in the first place, you must feel great that it wasn't simply tossed into the trash as I am sure other items sent to the band have been... So, not only does he receive the ski hat, he wears it, and to just keep adding to the story, he writes about it, takes a picture of it, posts it all on his News, Weather & Sports story and then adds the great caption as well.... It's really hard to top that without having your own private dinner with Neil at the lodge....and who knows how that would go...lol.... In my excitement last night I forgot to thank you nhlrush for starting this thread as this is where I found out about it. I always read Neil's blogs but it probably would have been another 2 or 3 weeks before I got around to this latest one. Thanks to all who have commented; it's nice to share the joy. Hey nice job! Speaking for all frost-bitten Canadian dudes, I can say that we all love warm headgear in the mid-winter deep freeze. Now, how about knitting me some wool socks for next year ???? :D Hey Canadian dude, whaddya think I am, a Sockwork Angel or sum thin? Oooh, baaaad pun, sorry :baabaa: :D

  13. Check out my post in the "Neil has a heart of gold" thread. That not only made my day, it's made my YEAR! :Neil:
  14. OMG, this is too exciting, I won't be able to sleep tonight. That is the hat I knit!!! I knitted 2 other items as well, 2 scarves, and presumably (hopefully) Alex and Geddy have those. One is a Body Electric/binary scarf and the other has a steampunk/mad scientist theme. Am thrilled to get this public acknowledgement from Neil, he is too awesome for words.
  15. I did! He was great and I'm surprised the topic doesn't have a tthread of its own. Has this board been quiet lately or is it my imagination?
  16. I'll be there too, seated very near you peeps, Row CC Seat 301. Flying down the day before and back home the day after. This is sooooo exciting!!! :rush: :haz: :rush:
  17. What do y'all think about combining 2 of my 3 favorite classic rock bands -- Rush, Led Zeppelin and Yes. We are allowed 7 spaces here in Washington so it could read something like: RUSHZEP, YESRUSH, etc. Is this a good idea or is it too busy & confusing?
  18. for the candy, it would have to be POP ROCKS!!!
  19. Skin Bag

    Rush Art

Those are all fantastic MuscialAbby!!! My favorite is the one with the 18 symbols, it looks like a mandala. Appropriate since I often feel I reach nirvana by listening to Rush.
  20. I really enjoyed reading your commentary USB and I totally LOVE that picture of Geddy; it has such a natural feel to it with his left hand up at his ear. Thanks for sharing!!
  21. QUOTE (robertrobyn @ Sep 29 2012, 11:10 AM)This is my first tour seeing more than one show. San Jose on 11-15-12 and Anaheim on 11-17-12! Very excited doing 2 shows. Best friend going to San Jose and the wife going to Anaheim. After Anaheim the wife and I are doing the Disney thing. Should be fun. I'm going to bookend your 2 shows -- Seattle on 11/13 and Las Vegas on 11/23.
  22. wow, congrats to you both on your good fortune! And it's encouraging to hear about such good VIP tickets, may have to try that in the future.
  23. Maybe because weeknight shows don't sell as well as weekends? Dunno, it's just a guess.
